[ESP-ENG] Un paseo por el zoológico de Expanzoo / A walk through the Expanzoo Zoo

El Zoológico Expanzoo Está ubicado en la antigua hacienda Caicaguana, a 2 km. de Lomas de la Lagunita, municipio el Hatillo, Caracas – Venezuela

Decidimos dar un paseo el 31 de octubre del presente año, en vista de la celebración de Halloween, disfracé a mi hija de brujita y emprendimos un viaje de 39km duró aproximadamente 1 hora y 2 minutos de pura diversión.

Una vez incorporado a la autopista mas importante de Caracas, La Autopista Francisco Fajado, ahora conocida como el Gran Cacique, tomando uno de sus principales ramales, la Autopista Prado del Este que parte desde el distribuidor El Ciempiés, en el Municipio Chacao y finaliza en el sector de la Trinidad, donde comienza la avenida intercomunal de El Hatillo, que termina en la Urbanización de la lagunita.

Antes de continuar con el viaje tuvimos que parar en la gasolinera de Pdvsa San Luis, entrada al hatillo, surtimos y continuamos nuestro camino siguiendo la vía que va para El Hatillo, pasando el hermoso pueblo seguimos nuestra ruta.

Nos encontrábamos muy ansiosos de conocer aquel lugar, seria nuestra primera vez en este grandioso zoológico, una experiencia inolvidable para todos nosotros en especial para nuestra pequeña niña.

Con nuestro GPS activado, nos indicaba que en 10 minutos llegaríamos a la av. Principal de la Lagunita ya estábamos a 700 metros para llegar al lugar de destino.

Es un encanto el clima y la vegetación que se observa en la Av. la Lagunita, escuchar el cantar de la naturaleza siempre es mágico, conectar con ella, definitivamente logras relajar tu mente, quiero decirles que disfrutamos el recorrido completamente.

Centro comercial Terrazas

Cruzamos a mano derecha bordeando el Centro Comercial Terrazas.

Doblamos a mano izquierda con dirección a Loma Linda o a Bosque de la lagunita, seguimos derecho y pasamos por un tramo ensanchado.

Aquí hay un muro y empezamos a doblar a mano izquierda, para comenzar la bajada que mi hija disfruta decirle la Bajadita y así llegamos al parque de Expanzoo.

Pasamos unas residencias llamadas Habitart las palmas.

Continuamos nuestro camino hasta llegar.

Luego de estacionar, esta hermosa llama nos recibió y nos dio la bienvenida.

El parque Expanzoo es un increíble zoológico, al llegar, compras las entradas y te dan una bolsita con zanahoria para alimentar a los animales. Es un lugar limpio, al aire libre y de clima agradable, el personal es amable, agradable y atento.

Les cuento que leí la historia de este Zoológico el cual fue creado con fine Terapéutico para apoyar a personas con Trastorno del Espectro Autista u otras necesidades especiales: Parálisis cerebral, discapacidad intelectual, Déficit de Atención, Esclerosis Múltiple, secuelas de ACV, retardo en el desarrollo.

Les permite estar en contacto con estos animales, los cuales pueden tocar alimentar, es un ambiente tranquilo e ideal para pasarla en familia.

Entrada tiene un valor de 10$
Horarios:
De lunes a domingo de 10:00 am a 5:00 pm.

Expanzoo Zoo is located in the old hacienda Caicaguana, 2 km. from Lomas de la Lagunita, municipality of El Hatillo, Caracas - Venezuela

We decided to take a ride on October 31 of this year, in view of the celebration of Halloween, I disguised my daughter as a witch and we undertook a journey of 39km lasted about 1 hour and 2 minutes of pure fun.

Once incorporated into the most important highway in Caracas, the Francisco Fajado Highway, now known as the Gran Cacique, taking one of its main branches, the Prado del Este Highway that starts from the distributor El Ciempiés, in the Municipality of Chacao and ends in the Trinidad sector, where the intercommunal avenue of El Hatillo begins, which ends in the Urbanization of the little lagoon.

Before continuing our trip we had to stop at the Pdvsa San Luis gas station, entrance to El Hatillo, we refueled and continued on our way following the road that goes to El Hatillo, passing the beautiful town we continued our route.

We were very anxious to know that place, it would be our first time in this great zoo, an unforgettable experience for all of us, especially for our little girl.

With our GPS activated, it indicated that in 10 minutes we would arrive at the main avenue of La Lagunita and we were already 700 meters away from our destination.

The climate and the vegetation that can be observed in the Lagunita Avenue is enchanting, listening to the singing of nature is always magical, connecting with it, you definitely get to relax your mind, I want to tell you that we enjoyed the tour completely.

We cross to the right bordering the Terrazas Shopping Center.

We turn left towards Loma Linda or Bosque de la Lagunita, continue straight ahead and pass through a widened section.

Here there is a wall and we start to turn left, to begin the descent that my daughter enjoys telling her the Bajadita and so we arrive at the Expanzoo park.

We passed some residences called Habitart Las Palmas.

We continued on our way until we arrived.

After parking, this beautiful llama greeted us and welcomed us.

Expanzoo Park is an amazing zoo, when you arrive, you buy tickets and they give you a little bag with carrots to feed the animals. It is a clean place, outdoors and with a pleasant climate, the staff is friendly, pleasant and attentive.

I read about the history of this Zoo, which was created for therapeutic purposes to support people with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other special needs: Cerebral Palsy, intellectual disability, Attention Deficit, Multiple Sclerosis, sequelae of stroke, developmental delay.

It allows them to be in contact with these animals, which they can touch and feed. It is a quiet and ideal environment to spend time with the family.

Monday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
