The last hours a loved one has to live here on earth are probably the hardest and most difficult hours.

I have learned that even when she is asleep I can talk to her and she will listen to me, like when my grandmother was about to leave and her tears would fall when I would talk to her and tell her how much I loved her.

The distant embrace exists, I believe it is energy that is directed and that arrives.

These last hours are the saddest, I can't physically give her that hug, but I know that my thoughts reach her. Many times I wondered if it was possible for the other person to feel it, but now I know it is.

I remember that tight hug when she came to visit me four years ago and from that moment she became part of my family. My aunt by adoption. And today I want to hug her goodbye... and it's not possible.

I wonder if the distant embrace will come and if my thoughts of love can make her heart, which has only a few beats left, vibrate.

I think and reflect on the past days, the past months, the circumstances and the experiences we had together.

This distant embrace is important, but so was every moment lived intensely. Every walk, every lunch together, every smile.

Those moments are the ones to treasure, I repeat that to myself over and over again. Although these last few months have been ones of farewell, of pain and sorrow.

I want to treasure every walk, every place discovered, every talk we've had and her voice, to keep it all forever in my heart.

She knows I love her very much and I know she loves me, we have said it to each other and I have not left any words unsaid.

The moments in life are very important, those that fill the soul and make it smile when we remember them in the midst of the grief caused by the last hours.

That intense embrace that happened four years ago and that made us family by adoption, that embrace is back today, but distant. I know it will reach her, and with it will go the memories of those good times.

Life has strange things many times, it gives us things, it takes things away, but the important thing is to value each one of them as a great treasure. And she is a great treasure for me. We adopted each other when neither of us had an aunt or niece.

That is what I will remember when she is gone. And with me will remain those experiences, those laughs and words.

In these last hours I send her a hug in the distance, which is not much and at the same time it is, as I cannot be by her side. Now I will have beautiful memories of our time on this earth and the moments I spent with her. Little time, but quality time.

It is not the quantity of time that is important, but the quality and intensity of it. Thank you for that time, such a good time we spent together. I will not forget it and I know that she will also carry it in her heart.
