Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

Diamonds are considered one of the most beautiful precious stones in the world, and they simply arise from coal, but it takes many years for something black and worthless to become something very precious, with great value and a brilliance that radiates light.

I recently read a post where someone mentioned that they wanted to find themselves, to know who they were, and I want to liken the inside of each of us to a very bright diamond that gives off a lot of light. When we discover the diamond within us, we realise that happiness does not come from what we have or who we have, such as a father, husband or wife, children... but that happiness comes from within us and it is very good to find it in order to live life to the fullest. Otherwise, we will be empty inside, in a constant search for something we don't quite know what, like being lost on a road and not knowing where to go.

Each of us has a diamond that shines within us, one that guides and accompanies us. When we discover it, the path becomes much easier, allowing us to find wonders and live the best possible future, but first we must realise that it is there.

Design process

I created the design entirely in Photoshop CS6 without AI and with eight copyright-free images.

To develop the background, I used two images of the universe. The second one I placed in the design was done in two layers with lighter colour and texture blends. Then I superimposed the image of the cave in two layers with light seal and darker colour blends. At the bottom of the cave and above it, I placed the image of the diamonds, also in two layers with an overlay blend.

After creating this background with several images, on one side of the design I placed the image of the woman sitting pensively on some rocks, to which I applied a strong light blend and placed a layer mask, then used the gradient tool to blend one end with the previous background. On top of this, I placed the image of the flowers in two layers, one showing the top of the flowers and the second showing the bottom, with darker colour blends and overlay.

Then I worked on the image of the white-haired woman in five layers, three of them showing the whole image and two with only her eyes. In the first three layers, I deleted the background and used darker colour, screen and normal blends, and in the other two, darker and lighter colours.

Then I selected, copied and pasted the diamond onto the woman's forehead and onto both eyes, in these cases smaller, and used the screen blend. Over the entire design, I recreated a layer of the second image of the universe, erasing part of the bottom of it and applying the colour overlay blend.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Los diamantes son considerados como una de las piedras preciosas más hermosas del mundo y simplemente surgen del carbón, sólo que lleva muchos años para que algo negro y sin valor se convierta en algo muy preciado, con mucho valor y con un brillo que irradia luz.

Recientemente leí un post donde alguien mencionaba que quería encontrarse a si mismo, saber quien era y quiero asimilar el interior de cada uno de nosotros con un diamante muy brilloso, que da mucha luz. Cuando descubrimos el diamante que llevamos dentro, nos damos cuenta que la felicidad no proviene de lo que tenemos ni a quien tenemos, como padre, esposo o esposa, hijos… sino que la felicidad viene de nuestro interior y es muy bueno hallarla para vivir en plenitud, de lo contrario estaremos vacíos por dentro, en una búsqueda permanente no se sabe bien de qué, como perdidos en un camino y no saber a dónde ir.

Cada uno de nosotros tenemos un diamante que resplandece dentro de nosotros, uno que nos guía y nos acompaña y al descubrirlo el camino es mucho más fácil, nos hace encontrar maravillas y nos hace vivir el mejor futuro posible, pero primero debemos darnos cuenta de que está allí.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño lo realicé enteramente en Photoshop CS6 sin IA y con ocho imágenes libre de derechos de autor.

Para desarrollar el fondo usé dos imágenes de universo, la segunda que coloqué en el diseño lo hice en dos capas con fusiones de color más claro y trama. Luego superpuse la imagen de la caverna en dos capas con fusiones de luz foca y color más oscuro. En la parte baja de la caverna y por encima de ella puse la imagen de los diamantes, también en dos capas con la fusión de superponer.

Creado este fondo con varias imágenes, en un lado del diseño coloqué la imagen de la mujer sentada sobre unas rocas pensativa, a la cual le puse la fusión de luz fuerte y le coloqué una máscara de capa para luego con la herramienta degradado fusionar un extremo con el fondo anterior. Sobre esto coloqué la imagen de las flores en dos capas donde en una se ve la parte de arriba de las flores y en la segunda la parte de abajo, con fusiones de color más oscuro y superponer.

Luego trabajé la imagen de la mujer de cabello blanco en cinco capas, tres de ellas mostrando toda la imagen y dos con sólo los ojos de la misma. En las tres primeras capas borré el fondo y usé fusiones de color más oscuro, trama y normal y en las otras dos color más oscuro y color más claro.

Seleccioné, copié y pegué el diamante, sobre la frente de la mujer y en los dos ojos, en estos casos más pequeños y usé la fusión de trama. Sobre todo, el diseño, volví a hacer una capa de la segunda imagen del universo borrando parte de debajo de la misma y le puse la fusión de sobreexponer color.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
