Saludos para todos los que gustan de reciclar y crear. Mi agradecimiento especial para @jennyzer por mantener en el tiempo este concurso con el que podemos concienciar acerca del cuidado de nuestro planeta y, al mismo tiempo, crear, a partir del reciclaje de diferentes objetos y materiales que tenemos en casa, otros objetos utilitarios, decorativos o lúdicos, como es el caso del proyecto que comparto para esta edición 14 del CREATIVE RECYCLING CHALLENGE.

Greetings to all who love to recycle and create. My special thanks to @jennyzer for keeping this contest with which we can raise awareness about the care of our planet and, at the same time, create, from the recycling of different objects and materials we have at home, other utilitarian, decorative or playful objects, as is the case of the project that I share for this 14th edition of the CREATIVE RECYCLING CHALLENGE.

En esta ocasión tuve el apoyo de mi pequeña Nicole para hacer este juego didáctico que tenía pendiente para mis sobrinietos de 3 y 2 añitos. Con este juego, ellos aprenderán los colores y desarrollarán también la motricidad fina porque tienen que encajar la figura donde corresponde según los colores. También aprenderán a desarrollar la atención.

This time I had the support of my little Nicole to make this educational game that I had pending for my 3 and 2 year old grandnieces and nephews. With this game, they will learn the colors and will also develop fine motor skills because they have to fit the figure where it corresponds according to the colors. They will also learn to develop attention.

Elaboramos el juego durante cuatro horas que estuvimos sin electricidad, así que le sacamos provecho a ese tiempo, compartimos juntas y me divertí mucho con las ocurrencias de Nicole.

We made the game during the four hours we were without electricity, so we made the most of that time, we shared together and I had a lot of fun with Nicole's witticisms.

Por acá les dejo los materiales y el paso a paso.

Here are the materials and the step by step instructions.

Lo primero que hay que hacer es sacar la figura, Nicole escogió una mariposa. Luego, las marcamos en el cartón que será la base del juego, y sacamos cuatro más que serán las que se usarán para encajar.

The first thing to do is to take out the figure, Nicole chose a butterfly. Then, we mark them on the cardboard that will be the base of the game, and we take out four more that will be used to fit.

Después de escoger los colores de las pinturas, para este proyecto fueron: azul, amarillo, rosado, lila, fucsia y verde. Procedemos a pintar las tapas, son 16 en total, cuatro para cada mariposa del cartón. Mientras las tapas se secan, pintamos las mariposas, la idea es pintar las mariposas con los mismos colores, pero en diferente orden y combinándolos entre sí.

After choosing the colors of the paints, for this project they were: blue, yellow, pink, lilac, fuchsia and green. We proceed to paint the lids, there are 16 in total, four for each butterfly on the cardboard. While the lids are drying, we paint the butterflies, the idea is to paint the butterflies with the same colors, but in a different order, and combining them with each other.

Luego, pegamos las tapas en las mariposas que dibujamos y pintamos en el cartón, según los colores de la base.

Then, we glue the lids on the butterflies that we drew and painted on the cardboard, according to the colors of the base.

Nicole decoró las mariposas con diferentes detalles. Las bordeamos con marcador negro para que resaltaran y como toque final, adorné el borde con un washi tape.

Nicole decorated the butterflies with different details. We bordered them with a black marker to make them stand out and as a finishing touch, I embellished the border with washi tape.

Me encantó tener a Nicole en casa justo cuando estaba pensando en hacer mi participación para el concurso. Pude enseñarle que podemos reciclar para cuidar nuestro planeta y crear con materiales que encontramos en casa. Ella fue una gran ayudante, me tomó las fotos, mientras yo pintaba con las pinturas al frío y luego le dio su estilo personal a este juego con el que Jared y Abril podrán pasar un rato divertido y educativo.

I loved having Nicole home just as I was thinking about making my contest entry. I was able to teach her that we can recycle to take care of our planet and create with materials we find at home. She was a great helper, she took my pictures, while I painted with the cold paints and then gave her personal style to this game that Jared and Abril will have a fun and educational time with.
