❄️ Frosts and glitters ✨ / Decorative and shiny jars for Christmas (ESP-ENG)
Holaa, hermosa y creativa comunidad, estoy de nuevo por aquí para compartir mi participación en el Concurso que se ha convertido en mi favorito de cada semana y cuya temática para esta ocasión es Frosts and glitters. Me encanta el brillo y la textura de este material, además, está asociado con celebraciones y fiestas. Justamente, estamos muy cerca de las festividades navideñas, una de las épocas del año que más me gusta y en la que el brillo y las luces son protagonistas. Así que cuando empecé a pensar en qué proyecto traería al concurso para esta semana, no dudé, y decidí que sería algo navideño. Como tengo muchos frascos guardados, saqué algunos para decorar con la técnica del decoupage, usé unas servilletas decoradas con motivos de Navidad a las que les añadí escarcha para resaltarlos.

Hello, beautiful and creative community, I'm here again to share my participation in the Contest that has become my weekly favorite and whose theme for this occasion is Frosts and glitters. I love the glitter and texture of this material, plus, it is associated with celebrations and parties. Precisely, we are very close to the Christmas festivities, one of the times of the year that I like the most and in which glitter and lights are the protagonists. So when I started thinking about what project I would bring to the contest for this week, I didn't hesitate and decided it would be something Christmasy. Since I have a lot of jars in storage, I pulled some out to decorate with the decoupage technique, I used some napkins decorated with Christmas motifs to which I added frosting to highlight them.

Lo primero que debemos hacer lavar muy bien los frascos y dejarlos secar. Mientras tanto, recortamos los diseños de las servilletas, y despegamos, con sumo cuidado, las dos hojas que la complementan por la parte de atrás. Luego, hacemos una mezcla de pegamento y un poco de agua y con un pincel se la pasamos al frasco, exactamente donde queremos pegar el diseño y, desde el centro hacia afuera, pasamos el pincel con la mezcla, cuidadosamente, para terminar de pegar y no dañarlo.
The first thing to do is to wash the jars very well and let them dry. In the meantime, we cut out the napkin designs and carefully peel off the two sheets that complement it on the back. Then, we make a mixture of glue and a little water and with a brush, we apply it to the bottle, exactly where we want to glue the design and, from the center outwards, we pass the brush with the mixture, carefully, to finish gluing and not to damage it.

El siguiente paso es decorar las tapas, mientras dejamos secar bien el procedimiento del decoupage. En una de las tapas pegué con silicón caliente la cadena de balines. Me encantó el efecto barroco y brillante que logré. Para el otro frasco, decoré la tapa con fieltro verde y cinta.
Para resaltar la hoja de la flor de navidad, la bordeé con pintura blanca.
The next step is to decorate the lids, while we let the decoupage process dry well. On one of the lids, I glued with hot silicone the ballpoint chain. I loved the baroque and shiny effect I achieved. For the other jar, I decorated the lid with green felt and ribbon.
To highlight the leaf of the Christmas flower, I bordered it with white paint.
Llegó el momento de aplicar la escarcha. Comencé con el diseño de San Nicolás. Le puse un poco de pegamento a las partes blancas del motivo. Le agregué un poco de escarcha blanca perlada a la barba y al gorrito, al saquito le puse dorada y alrededor le puse unos puntos con escarcha plateada para completar.
A la flor de Navidad, le puse escarcha dorada en el centro y bordeé las hojas para más brillo.
It was time to apply the frosting. I started with the St. Nicholas design. I applied some glue to the white parts of the motif. I added some pearly white frosting to the beard and the little hat, I added some gold frosting to the little bag and some silver frosting dots around it to complete it.
To the Christmas flower, I added gold frosting in the center and bordered the leaves for more shine.
Dejé secar, luego retiré los excesos, sacudiendo con cuidado. Uno de los frascos los llené ccon algodones y el otro con galletas. Pero, se pueden llenar con caramelos o con dulce de lechosa o mermelada de frutas para regalar en Navidad.
Así quedaron mis frascos decorados, me parecen que lucen hermosos y decorativos para las próximas fiestas navideñas. Espero que les haya gustado y que se animen a decorar los suyos.
I let it dry, then removed the excess, shaking carefully. I filled one of the jars with cotton balls and the other with cookies. But, they can be filled with candies or with dulce de lechosa or fruit jam to give as Christmas gifts.
This is how my decorated jars turned out, I think they look beautiful and decorative for the upcoming Christmas holidays. I hope you liked it and that you are encouraged to decorate yours.
