Today in the third part is about the spin off, so an offshoot, the Breaking Bad series. Time is the series before Breaking Bad. Why do not I describe the series / film in chronological order or in the order in which it appeared?
Well, firstly because I'm a fan of the original series and have celebrated by far the most and on the other because there would be the series (Better Call Saul) or the movie (El Camino) without the original series (Breaking Bad). From my point of view, it therefore only makes sense to present and view the sequence as done.
In addition, the order I chose also the order is like me the sequels and decoupling fallen. In addition (to the 2nd) comes that the many allusions (Easter Eggs) otherwise not be recognized and partly go under. Especially with actors who had only minor roles would be a pity.

4.3 Better Call Saul:

Better Call Saul is a series produced from 2008 to 2013. It was produced by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould and is about lawyer James McGill, later known as Saul Goodman. Saul Goodmann appeared for the first time in the second season of Breaking Bad and immediately gained cult status due to his extroverted, direct, uncompromising and at the same time loving nature. The TV series tells the story of McGill, six years before he meets W. White. The broadcast of the series in Germany began in 2015.

Action:

James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill is an unsuccessful and bad-earning lawyer in Albuquerque who just keeps afloat.
Originally from Chicago where he made his money as a con artist. Due to various, shown in flashbacks, events, however, it pulled him into the desert. Under the supervision of his older and very successful brother Chuck, he started as an assistant in the then led by the brother's law firm.
At the time of the series, however, Chuck did not practice for several years because he was mentally ill. More specifically, he suffers from self-diagnosed electrosensitivity. Whether this disease is actually present or just "imagination", every viewer must decide for yourself, as the series deliberately gives no answer. Room for speculation underscore the series as in the original. All very atmospheric and understandable visualized and presented in the usual Breaking Bad manner, "all Vince Gilligan" stop.
Without much spoilers, everyone can imagine how McGill solves his cases and everyday problems. Just like Saul Goodmann from Breaking Bad. The series shows how the character of the trickster "ethically disintegrates" and thus the transformation of Jimmy in Saul.
Again and again old familiar appear. Like Mike Ehrmantraut, who works as a parking attendant at the court in Albuquerque. Mike was a police officer in Philadelphia before, but quit the service.
Gustavo Fring, Hector Salamanca and Tuco also make their appearance in the series. There are also other familiar faces that hint at a direct connection to the plot of Breaking Bad.

Conclusion:
All in all, a good series that even feels like Breaking Bad. It is worth seeing, but this series does not match the original. Possibly. The reason is that I simply judge totally unobjective when it comes to Breaking Bad. I therefore recommend to watch the show if you are just as fascinated as I am and have "problems" with the fact that Breaking Bad does not go any further ... Otherwise you can use your time better because the playing time has been around for some time takes up. The first season came in my opinion even slowly in path. In the course of the series was much better. and of course the praiseworthy is again the producer. He has portrayed all the characters as witty and authentic as in the original.
