Secrets of the Jungle Recap - New Lucky Pokédex Registry

The Secrets of the Jungle event has ended since this Sunday at 8 pm local time. Let's get to a recap of some stuff that I didn't show yet.

First of all I wanna start with a funny screenshot of a regular Pikachu and an Adventurer Pikachu that spawned close to each other.

I was so surprised to see a regular Pikachu when there were these costumed event ones. It wasn't near the start of the event either so that didn't have anything to do with it. Throughout the event I did encounter a few more regular ones amongst the Adventurer ones. So I guess it was quite normal. It was still a fun sight to behold when I saw them both xD

As I mentioned in my previous blog posts there were some of the event spawns that I didn't have Lucky yet. I had already traded some female Combee, because only the female can evolve into Vespiquen, but didn't get any Lucky yet. Then another day I was trading a few more female Combee and suddenly I noticed at the bottom of the trade was a Combee that I couldn't trade with the Lucky background. I was like "When did I get this Lucky? We didn't get a Lucky yet while trading". So I went to take a look, and apparently I already did have Lucky Combee since a looong time ago 😅😂 It took several tries to get Lucky Hoothoot. I've done several Field Research Tasks that led to Rufflet encounters, so decided to trade Rufflet too. Ended up getting 2 Lucky Rufflet in the event. Here are all 3 of these individually mentioned Lucky.

Now it's was time to evolve them all to get their Lucky evolutions in the Pokédex too. For Vespiquen and Braviary this would mean a Lucky Pokédex registry. It can't be seen on the Pokédex registry screen like you can with a Shiny. But it still counts for me as it is the Lucky that I'm evolving. Here are the new Pokédex registries.

And here are the photos of the Lucky Noctowl, Vespiquen and Braviary.

Throughout the event I was able to get 2 Shiny. One day I encountered a Shiny Adventurer Pikachu and on some other day I got a Shiny Rufflet from a Field Research encounter!

The stats are unfortunately not good at all xD Since Rufflet was from a Field Research encounter it had floor IVs of 10 in each stat. If it was a 3* Rufflet I might have evolved the Shiny.

Speaking of stats, we have now come to the part with the best Pokémon from this event. My best Rufflet from a Field Research encounter was a 98%. Throughout the event I also got 3 perfect IVs.

I evolved the Drilbur to Excadrill already since it was fairly high level and it's a pretty good Ground-type attacker. I already have a Lucky 100% Excadrill that I'm pretty sure I've shared in a blog post a while ago. It's Ground-and Steel-type, but doesn't perform that great as a Steel-type attacker so I made this one into a Ground-type attacker too. For the Oddish I'm not sure if I wanna evolve it to Vileplume or Bellossom. So I'm keeping it as Oddish for now. The Hoothoot is thanks to a friend. We were going to walk around, and he encountered it on the way to where we were going to meet. So he told me and I came there and was able to still catch it! Both Oddish and Hoothoot are my first 100% IV of their species. Although I do have a Shadow Oddish that I could purify to be a Purified 100%.

That wraps it up for this event recap.

How did your Secrets of the Jungle event go? During the event, what was the best Pokémon you got or the one you were most excited about when you got it? Tell me about this and have a chance to win a Hive SBI after the post payout.
