Hello everyone!
Yesterday, I met my best friend, we met and start being friend in the 1st year of high school, she has been my friend from the start of my high school until now. We separated for several years because of our respective busy lives after graduating from high school, I study in the city of Padang and she studied in the city of Medan. After I returned to the city of Medan, instead she had to work in the city of Jakarta. Finally, we met again after a long time.

It was quite difficult to find the right time to meet, so we decide to meet again and determine a suitable place for this meeting. I recommend meeting at Pos Bloc, it's in the center of town. Of course, there was a coffee shop that made me quite curious, and finally I was able to enjoy coffee there. This coffee shop is quite famous in the city of Medan, there are several branches outside the city, but this time we will only discuss the one in this city, Common Folks Pos Bloc.

Located in one of the rooms rented out by Pos Bloc, the common folks take up a fairly large space in the Pos Bloc building, right at the side door of Pos Bloc, so you can just enter from the side door without having to go around this building. The Bloc post is quite large and has the potential to hurt your legs from walking long distances, so I would advise you to enter Common Folks from the side only.

Well, what's unique about Common Folks is that this place is really very aesthetic with historical buildings, it has an old school touch but can still be enjoyed by young people. This building is really very aesthetic and simple. I feel like I time traveled to when my mother was a teenager. So, from the outside this coffee shop looks very old school, but from the inside it feels very different.

We into the room, it feels like a different place, with a minimalist and industrial design that makes this coffee shop feel exclusive. I see it as an old apartment, but the interior is very modern, so that's how I describe it. Of course, they redid a lot of things from the interior, overall it's really very different.

Like most other coffee shops, they make boards that are large enough and clear to read. The menu of this coffee shop is written in Times New Roman letters which look like they were carved very neatly. You know, like the wall was printed with a printer, but it's a wall with cement and sand. With the light from the sharp spotlights, it makes the impression look very elegant.

There is also a place where you can learn to make coffee, it seems there is a special place for anyone who wants to learn and pay the training fee which may be quite commensurate with the comfortable place. Some of the tools used to brew coffee are quite complete, from grinders to V60 making equipment.

I also saw several visitors very casually take drinking water, sugar and several other condiments which can be used for free, of course this would be very useful for workers who work from the café. Without having to go to a special place like a working space, you just pay for your coffee and can sit here for hours.

There is so much equipment used to play music, one of which in this corner is several black plates, headsets, amplifiers and speakers that can be used to play music. Everything is not just for display, but can be used, of course I'm not suggesting you turn it around for yourself, it's all the rights of the workers to do their work.

So, common folks is a place where my friends and I can sit and relax while telling stories for a very long time here. In fact, we spent 2 hours so we forgot to do other work. But, maybe I would recommend this place for those of you who like coffee and dessert. Really, the coffee is really delicious for me!
