Hello everyone,
After long time, don't go far from home, just to refresh your mind and body from daily activities, a situation that many people dream of, because many people don't have time and enough opportunities to do it, so when you have something like that, that's a sign You are still lucky compared to others, you should be grateful for that.

This weekend, initiated by our 2 year old nephew, we finally had the opportunity as a family to enjoy the weekend with the family and go on a short trip which only takes a few hours to climb to the top of Brastagi, which is a highland area in this area . Of course, we have planned to visit several places, especially places that Chayra likes, to learn a lot and enjoy the opportunity to play.

Chayra Wants Strawberries

Uniquely, Chayra has a hobby, especially farming, gardening and harvesting, she has been taught since childhood to respect nature and its surroundings, that's also because we have a hydroponic installation and several fruit and vegetable plants at home, so she has lots of opportunities to love it. natural. However, the thing he likes most is harvesting, picking ripe fruit.

So, at our house there are several pots of strawberries that Chayra can use and whenever there is fruit to pick, she does very well. It became a habit and it had a big influence on Chayra, so one of the short trip routes this time was to visit one of the fairly large strawberry gardens in the Brastagi area.

At first, we stopped briefly at a restaurant that sold strawberry pancakes and bought them to take along on the trip as a snack, while also using the toilet and resting for a while, because we still had 1 hour left on the journey to the strawberry farm, but Chayra cried and asked for the strawberry monument that was there. at the restaurant to take home. So, we could only laugh and persuade him to continue the journey in the car.

Strawberry Purba Family and Farm

Finally, after arriving at the place we had made our drop point, we explored this fairly large strawberry garden. There are around 2 hectares of strawberry gardens containing strawberry plants that have been arranged in pots. Really, Chayra's face looked very happy when she saw lots of red strawberries to pick. Of course he walks under supervision because the strawberry garden is steep enough for a 2 year old child to play alone.

He was very clever, holding a basket that he would use to put the strawberry harvest in it. Looking for strawberries that looked very red and were quite large, then he looked for them one by one in each pot.

This is a pretty good strawberry garden in this area, not only is there a strawberry garden, the view from this place is quite wide, I can see the lower plains from here, see there are lots of buildings in the city area, it's like looking at a lake basin. The view is also very beautiful when there are lots of tall trees, such as pine, pine and others.

Brastagi is famous for its clear and fresh air, the cold wind blowing because it is at 1300 meters above sea level. So, Brastagi is a tourist destination that is quite a target for residents of the cities of Medan and North Sumatra. This is also a good place to grow vegetables and fruit, so most of the people here work as farmers.

Not only is there a strawberry garden, you are also given many facilities here, using a joglo which can be used for picnics, lunch and resting. There are several huts that are large enough for 5-7 people. So, from this hut you can also have lunch while looking at the beautiful natural scenery.

A clear sound from a pond full of fish, but they are not koi fish, but the goldfish which are famous in the Toba area. Above the water there is a water hyacinth that covers and maintains the beauty of the pool water, there is a natural fountain that is made to intake oxygen into the pool.

We got lots of strawberries, all of which were from Chayra, she harvested it herself and we were quite amazed by her skill in harvesting. I'm very sure that she can look after the plants at home very well, because this is one of Chayra's favorites, she doesn't really like playing with the toys at home, but every afternoon she never fails to help water the flowers.

You can see my mother-in-law also took the time to take photos in the strawberry garden while showing the beautiful view from above. There were clouds covering us and it was quite dark, because it ended up raining a little when we left the garden and continued our journey.

Before leaving the strawberry farm, we were given several bonuses from the strawberry farm owner to enjoy the strawberries from his garden for free. That's pretty much it and that makes us happy. You can see he also wrapped the oranges we got for free too. The owner is of Karo descent, so he wears a typical Karo head covering, while chewing tobacco and betel in his mouth like that. It is a habit of the people here to keep their mouths clean, the same as smoking, but the tobacco is just chewed.

There is quite a lot of uniqueness in this area, especially regarding traditions. This difference is what makes this place suitable as a place to travel to North Sumatra.

See you the next time hive friends!
