The long awaited journey is going to get over just a matter of hours to go before it takes proceedings for the first match of the world cup. The cricket universe is sure to see how the approach would look like and there are much of the speculation going on for sure. The host nation -India started out with the proposal to organize the inaugural ceremony but later they rejected the whole initiative.

What it looks to me is that, such ceremonies arent necessary to glorify an event - as big as the world cup.But I think when it comes to cricket and to host the biggest competition in the sport genre - for which the waiting time takes for 4 years or more,then there is something fans really feel sorrowed of.

I think, BCCI has the capacity and the budget to organize little to moderate level programmes for the ceremony. Bollywood industry has in their favour and Indian cultural actors and teams are also there, it wouldnt be a big task for them to have so, but it looks as the board wants to spend more focus on the "successful completion of the matches", rather than blowing off money into air.

Anyway,I dont feel much bothered about it and neither do the board, ha ha. Already they got bags of sponsors and other commercial institutions who are funding and supplying tools and assistance India need to make the month long competition end well. Nobody can deny the fact that, supporters of India are the largest and craziest cricket-lover that the whole world cant paramount.

Since England launched the world cup for the latest time back in 2019, there are pressure on the team to retain it, some great minds opined that its hard to keep glory than winning it. Before the first match, the same feeling is coming back to me that, England has to do more than their efforts to keep the world title in their hands.

There are many strong rivals threatening strongly and I suppose India, Australia & Pakistan would be in the first layer. Its almost unbelievable to see what Indian team can do in their own soil. 2011 was a great proof to that point and winning the match against Sri Lanka was one such match to remember and Dhoni finishing it with style not only created a memorable event, but made history.

This English Squad looks pretty solid and balanced, although we would never see some of the faces to perform in the green and grey surface. They will be on the spectators line for sure, or in commentary box tv set,relaxing in the couch of home. But own memories will not be lost for them and world cup moment is special in so many ways.

All eyes are on the first match and while I was scrolling down my news feed, one news got my full attention. That was a matter of new annexation to the set of rules ICC have had in the past and now a reform of the code seems pretty outlandish to an event.

England won the last world cup with the help of boundary count rule where even the super over in the final was drawn, but New Zealand with current law can pretty well win against England.

Kane Williamson's team surely look forward to blot that memory and stay focused on doing well in this edition. This time, the world cup would be the biggest cricket tournament after covid and expectations are big. Bangladesh would also want to create a bright impression on the biggest stage, I hope they succeed with their own plan.
