Mi perspectiva sobre el Miss Universe 2022 👑🤔 [ESP-ENG]

Feliz domingo hermosa comunidad, espero se encuentren muy bien! El día de ayer, sin ser fanática verdaderamente de los Concursos o Certámenes de Belleza, quise presenciar el Miss Universo con la intención de realizar un post referente, ya que esto siempre se abre a temas de debate y opiniones que muchas veces es interesante compartir. Sin embargo, mi intención con esto no es generar polémicas ni discusiones fuertes o realizar críticas destructivas, para nada, simplemente quiero compartir mi perspectiva, las cosas que me gustaron y las que no de todo este Evento que pone en expectativas y los nervios a flor de piel a todo el Mundo, jajaj.

Happy Sunday beautiful community, I hope you are very well! Yesterday, without really being a fan of Beauty Contests or Pageants, I wanted to attend the Miss Universe with the intention of making a post about it, since this is always open to debate and opinions that many times it is interesting to share. However, my intention with this is not to generate controversy or strong discussions or make destructive criticism, not at all, I just want to share my perspective, the things I liked and the things I did not like about this event that puts expectations and nerves to the surface all over the world, hahaha.

Como bien mencioné, no soy fanática al 100% de los Concursos de Belleza, ni de ningún tipo de competencia realmente. En este caso, hasta de forma personal muchas veces me han preguntado el por qué no soy Modelo o si me gustaría ser parte de este mundo, y la verdad es que nunca me he visto atraída, y para nadie es un secreto que ese mundo para nada justo y hasta sano, en cierta forma, es. Pero a pesar de, me gusta ver ocasionalmente estos Concursos ya que son interesantes y entretenidos, como en esta oportunidad. Que por cierto, cabe destacar que el Miss Venezuela no lo vi este año, pero la verdad ayer pude notar que se hizo una EXCELENTE elección con nuestra representante, Amanda Dudamel y pues nació en mí el querer ver el concurso con fé y emoción de obtener la 8va corona para nuestro país.

Así que bueno, sin más introducción, esta Septuagésima Primera Edición del Miss Universo estuvo conformada por 84 hermosas candidatas, de lo cual siempre es lindo reconocer lo impresionante que es la diversidad y los diferentes tipos de belleza física según cada país. Y más allá de eso, las hermosas, conmovedoras e interesantes historias que están detrás de cada candidata; que durante el openning y presentación individual se pudo conocer, además de sentir ese estusiasmo y ganas de entregar lo mejor para representar dignamente cada una a su país y entrar en ese Top 16 de semifinalistas...

Esa primera elección estuvo conformada por Puerto Rico, Haití, Australia, República Dominicana, Laos, South África, Portugal, Canadá, Perú, Trinidad y Tobago, Curaçao, India, Venezuela, España, Usa y Colombia. Este Top fue bastante interesante ya que entraron como siempre, países favoritos en el mundo como es el caso de Colombia, Venezuela, South África, pero a su vez también países que pocas veces tienen el privilegio de entrar en este primer Top como Laos; y también fue curioso la ausencia de otros países como Filipinas, por ejemplo, que suele estar siempre muy presente durante la competición.

As I mentioned, I am not a 100% fan of beauty pageants, or any kind of competition really. In this case, even personally I have been asked many times why I am not a Model or if I would like to be part of this world, and the truth is that I have never been attracted, and for nobody is a secret that this world is not at all fair and even healthy, in a way, it is. But in spite of that, I like to watch these contests occasionally because they are interesting and entertaining, as in this opportunity. By the way, it is worth mentioning that I didn't watch Miss Venezuela this year, but the truth is that yesterday I could notice that our representative, Amanda Dudamel, made an EXCELLENT choice and I wanted to watch the contest with faith and excitement to get the 8th crown for our country.

So well, without further introduction, this Seventy-first Edition of Miss Universe was made up of 84 beautiful candidates, which is always nice to recognize how impressive is the diversity and the different types of physical beauty according to each country. And beyond that, the beautiful, moving and interesting stories that are behind each candidate; that during the openning and individual presentation could be known, besides feeling that enthusiasm and desire to give their best to worthily represent their country and enter the Top 16 of semifinalists...

This first selection was made up of Puerto Rico, Haiti, Australia, Dominican Republic, Laos, South Africa, Portugal, Canada, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Curacao, India, Venezuela, Spain, USA and Colombia. This Top was quite interesting since they entered as always, favorite countries in the world as is the case of Colombia, Venezuela, South Africa, but also countries that rarely have the privilege of entering this first Top as Laos; and it was also curious the absence of other countries such as the Philippines, for example, which is usually always very present during the competition.

De estas semifinalistas me gustó mucho que durante sus presentaciones se pudo apreciar, que así como hay quienes tienen y ejercen alguna profesión reconocida como Ingeniería, Administración, etc., también hay chicas que demuestran con orgullo esa pasión por sus deportes, por el arte o trabajos de laborale social, me encantó mucho que dentro de ese Top estuvo una Bailarina, con la cual me sentí muy identificada ya que baila desde muy niña y es esa prácticamente su carrera, y también una boxeadora que una frase que mencionó que me marcó mucho fue que su deporte no solo la ha hecho más fuerte físicamente sino también mentalmente, y es algo que sin duda es carcterístico de deportes de ese estilo, o de entrenamientos de fuerza que a veces poco se reconocen y validan en una mujer, y más dentro de estos concursos...

Como primer Desfile tuvimos el de Traje de Baño, bastante sencillo, pero con un detalle diferente que me gustó mucho de este año. Las candidatas desfilaron con una Capa realizada por ellas mismas, lo cual me encantó porque dieron libertad de Crear y llevar puesto algo propio y auténtico, que transmitiera algún mensaje, como el de la Diversidad Cultural, la Paz en países con conflictos, Cuidado Ambiental, y como el caso de Venezuela, que fue una de mis capas favoritas, no solo por ser nuestra representante sino también por el significado de cocientización hacia el respeto a los niños con la frase "Los Niños no son Juguetes" con el fin de promover el hecho de no tocarlos y abusar de ellos. La capa es muy colorida, de hecho fue realizada con la ayuda de los niños de una comunidad en la Ciudad de Caracas llamada Petare, lo cual me parece más especial y significativo.

Algo a resaltar que no me gustó de este desfile fue la presentación musical, fue una especie de Pop Urbano, no se como describirlo, y sinceramente no lo consideré acorde, no se si es por costumbre, pero creo que mejor anima algo latino, un género enérgico a un desfile de Traje de Baño... no se no lo encontré tan disfrutable, pero que se hace... En cuanto a las pasarelas me gustó mucho la de Puerto Rico, South África, Canada, Curaçao, Trinidad y Tobago, Usa, y por supuesto la de Venezuela, jeje. De ellas en particular sentí que se disfrutaron verdaderamente el momento, tienen un caminar cautivador y deslumbraron con su actitud y toque personal cada una con cada paso.

From these semifinalists I really liked that during their presentations we could see that just as there are those who have and exercise a recognized profession such as Engineering, Administration, etc., There are also girls who proudly show their passion for their sports, art or social work, I was very pleased that within this Top was a dancer, with whom I felt very identified since she has been dancing since she was a child and this is practically her career, And also a boxer who mentioned a phrase that marked me a lot was that her sport has not only made her stronger physically but also mentally, and it is something that is certainly characteristic of sports of this style, or strength training that sometimes are little recognized and validated in a woman, and more in these contests. ..

As the first parade we had the Swimsuit, quite simple, but with a different detail that I really liked this year. The candidates paraded with a cape made by themselves, which I loved because they were free to create and wear something authentic, which transmitted a message, such as Cultural Diversity, Peace in countries with conflicts, Environmental Care, and as the case of Venezuela, which was one of my favorite capes, not only for being our representative but also for the meaning of awareness towards respect for children with the phrase "Children are not toys" in order to promote the fact of not touching and abusing them. The cape is very colorful, in fact it was made with the help of the children of a community in the city of Caracas called Petare, which seems to me more special and meaningful.

Something to highlight that I did not like about this fashion show was the musical presentation, it was a kind of Urban Pop, I do not know how to describe it, and honestly I did not consider it appropriate, I do not know if it is by habit, but I think it is better to encourage something Latin, an energetic genre to a swimsuit fashion show ... I do not know I did not find it so enjoyable, but what can you do .... As for the catwalks I really liked the Puerto Rico, South Africa, Canada, Curacao, Trinidad and Tobago, USA, and of course Venezuela, hehe. From them in particular I felt that they really enjoyed the moment, they have a captivating walk and dazzled with their attitude and personal touch each one with every step.

En cuanto al Desfile de Traje de Gala, realmente fue hermoso y todas lo hicieron espectacular. Casi todos los vestidos me gustaron bastante, predominó mucho la sencillez y eso transmite mucha más elegancia. En cuanto al vestido de Venezuela, muy hermoso y original el diseño, me encantó que ella diseñó la parte de abajo y uff, los colores combinaron muy bien, si lo detallas muy de cerca te das cuenta que es bellísimo. A mi al principio no me convencía mucho, pero ya luego lo vi muy hermoso y acorde con ella...

Posteriormente llegó el momento de reducir el Top a solo 5 candidatas, momento de mucha incertidumbre y nervios jajaj, porque considero que ese Top 16 estuvo bastante reñido, pero solo lograron pasar Venezuela, Usa, Puerto Rico, Curaçao y República Dominicana. De este top fue muy interesante que todas fuesen Latinoamericanas, el simple hecho de que nombraran a Venezuela de primero me emocionó y se que a todo el país mucho más porque la representación que tuvimos de Amanda fue espectacular durante toda la competencia, así que más fé existía de llevarnos esa corona jajaj. Pero bueno, seguidamente tocó el turno de la primera ronda de preguntas que a mi parecer estuvo regular, al menos la que le hicieron a Venezuela, las demás si eran un poco más interesantes y quiero destacar que dentro de todo las 5 chicas respondieron rápido y con bastante seguridad.

De esas 5 posteriormente llegó el momento de solo ser 3 finalistas. Como primera pasó República Dominicana, que de verdad la veía como finalista, luego Usa y Venezuela que no podía faltar porque realmente respondieron bien... la última pasarela como finalistas fue bastante bonita y animada, aquí una vez más debo mencionar la increíble presentación de nuestra Amanda, fue hermoso verla bailar y disfrutarse a plenitud su momento, en su rostro y actitud había mucha seguridad y se sentía ganadora... realmente de esa mujer amé precisamenmte eso, que se lo creía y demostraba que estaba muy presente viviendo su Sueño.

As for the Gala Costume Parade, it was really beautiful and everyone made it spectacular. I liked almost all the dresses very much, the simplicity predominated and that transmits much more elegance. As for the dress of Venezuela, very beautiful and original design, I loved that she designed the bottom and uff, the colors combined very well, if you detail it very closely you realize that it is beautiful. Then came the time to reduce the Top to only 5 candidates, moment of great uncertainty and nerves hahahah, because I think that the Top 16 was pretty close, but only managed to pass Venezuela, USA, Puerto Rico, Curacao and Dominican Republic. From this top it was very interesting that all of them were Latin American, the simple fact that Venezuela was named first got me excited and I know that the whole country was much more excited because the representation we had from Amanda was spectacular throughout the competition, so there was more faith to take that crown hahaha. But well, then it was the turn of the first round of questions that in my opinion was regular, at least the one asked to Venezuela, the others were a little more interesting and I want to emphasize that within all the 5 girls answered quickly and with enough security.

Of those 5, it was time to be only 3 finalists. As first came the Dominican Republic, who I really saw as a finalist, then USA and Venezuela who could not miss because they really responded well ... the last runway as finalists was quite nice and lively, here once again I must mention the incredible presentation of our Amanda, it was beautiful to see her dance and enjoy her moment to the fullest, in her face and attitude was very confident and she felt winner .... I really loved that woman, that she believed it and showed that she was very present living her Dream.

Ya para decidir quien sería la Reina, se dio una última pregunta para las tres, que siendo honesta considero que las mejores respuestas fueron las de República Dominicana y Venezuela. Sin embargo, el resultado final realmente para mucho y me incluyo no fue totalmente justo, como segunda finalista quedó República Dominicana, seguidamente Venezuela como primera finalista , y la nombrada Miss Universo, Estados Unidos... sinceramente hubiese sido más aceptable para nosotros que ganara RD porque era una fuerte candidata, Usa ni siquiera se creía que lo había logrado y la verdad sabemos que la mayoría de los ojos en ese momento estaban puestos sobre Venezuela, y para nosotros los venezolanos ella es la verdadera Reina.

De hecho se piensa y se ve por las RR.SS que fue algo comprado o que sencillamente no le quisieron dar el título a Venezuela por temas políticos, pero ya son otras cosas, y una razón más por las que no me gustan este tipo de Concursos, no son justos... y lo peor es que casualmente la actual dueña del Miss Universo es también dueña de concursos dentro de EE.UU y específicamente del Miss Usa, o sea, pudo haber preferencia? De seguro sí... de hecho ella no me generó confianza desde que se presentó, ya es un tema aparte en el que no quiero profundizar mucho porque es más polémico, pero el caso es que sentimos una vez más (porque pasó también en el 2018 con una represante igual de espectacular y segura que tuvimos, Sthefany Gutiérrez) que nos arrebataron la Corona, por más dramático que suene. Pero, lo verdaderamente importante es que tuvimos una representación digna de ganar y ser ejemplo, demasiado orgullo y alegría dejó en nuestros corazones, nuestra Diseñadora de Sueños, Amanda Dudamel.

However, the final result really for many and I include myself was not totally fair, as second finalist was the Dominican Republic, followed by Venezuela as first finalist, and the named Miss Universe, United States ... sincerely it would have been more acceptable for us that DR won because she was a strong candidate, USA did not even believe she had achieved it and the truth is that most of the eyes at that time were on Venezuela, and for us Venezuelans she is the true Queen.

In fact it is thought and seen by the RR.SS that it was something bought or that they simply did not want to give the title to Venezuela because of political issues, but these are other things, and one more reason why I do not like this kind of contests, they are not fair ... and the worst thing is that coincidentally the current owner of Miss Universe is also owner of contests in the U.S. and specifically Miss USA, so, could there have been preference? Surely yes... in fact she did not generate confidence in me since she was presented, it is a separate issue in which I do not want to delve too much because it is more controversial, but the fact is that we feel once again (because it also happened in 2018 with an equally spectacular and confident representative we had, Sthefany Gutierrez) that the Crown was snatched from us, as dramatic as it may sound. But, what is really important is that we had a representation worthy of winning and being an example, too much pride and joy left in our hearts, our Designer of Dreams, Amanda Dudamel.

Y al final de todo, la vibra se sintió rara, la coronación fue como muy rápido y tampoco se vio mucho afecto de parte de las demás candidatas. Pero no queda más que mandar buena vibra a la ganadora durante su año como Miss... Así que nada gentecita, esta fue mi opinión acerca del Certámen, me gustaría saber en los comentarios si comparten alguna, o que fue su cosa favorita de todo el evento para interactuar un poquito. And at the end of it all, the vibe felt weird, the coronation was too fast and there wasn't much affection from the other candidates either. But I can only send good vibes to the winner during her year as Miss....
