Which do I prefer, the modern, technological world, or a simpler life? [ESP-ENG]

Feliz miércoles bonita comunidad!! Hoy quiero responder a una de las preguntas del Concurso Semanal (edición #81) de la Comunidad @ladiesofhive que me pareció bastante interesante, así que por ello quiero compartirles mi punto de vista al respecto, así que sin más, esta es la pregunta:

Happy Wednesday beautiful community!!! Today I want to answer one of the questions from the Weekly Contest (edition #81) of the @ladiesofhive Community that I found quite interesting, so that's why I want to share with you my point of view about it, so without further ado, here's the question:

¿Deseas alguna vez tiempos más sencillos, o prefieres el mundo moderno y "tecnológico" de hoy? ¿Qué elegirías para vivir y por qué?

Do you ever wish for simpler times, or do you prefer the modern 'techy' world of today? Which would you choose to live by, and why?

Yo me considero una persona bastante sencilla, y por ende amante de lo sencillo. Disfruto demasiado momentos al aire libre, en contacto con la naturaleza, soy de dar y me gusta recibir tiempo de calidad con mis seres queridos, de esos momentos en que los teléfonos quedan a un lado un buen rato y simplemente estás presente con las personas de tu alrededor...

No saben lo necesario que es para todos desconectarse de la rutina, del ajetreo de la ciudad de vez en cuando o con frecuencia, porque todos siempre necesitamos ese respiro, a veces solo de un día, pero en ocasiones irse de viaje, un fin de semana, acampar, hacer cualquier actividad que te obligue a alejarte de la tecnología hace un cambio en tu estado de humor, te sientes recargado luego de, y eso desde mi punto de vista no se discute, hasta lo considero obligatorio para nuestro bienestar.

I consider myself a pretty simple person, and therefore a lover of the simple. I enjoy too much moments outdoors, in contact with nature, I am a giver and I like to receive quality time with my loved ones, those moments when phones are left aside for a while and you are simply present with the people around you...

You do not know how necessary it is for everyone to disconnect from the routine, from the hustle and bustle of the city from time to time or frequently, because we all always need that break, sometimes just for a day, but sometimes going on a trip, a weekend, camping, doing any activity that forces you to get away from technology makes a change in your mood, you feel recharged after, and that from my point of view is not discussed, I even consider it mandatory for our welfare.

Así que respondiendo más directamente a la pregunta, soy de tiempos más sencillos, porque siento que ellos puedes verdaderamente sentirte vivo y conectado con la vida. Sin embargo, no descarto por completo el mundo moderno y tecnológico, ya que sirve de ayuda para comunicarnos, conocer, aprender e interactuar de forma bonita también con el resto del mundo, aparte que te ayuda con tu trabajo y tu vida personal en general. Pero si considero que debe de haber un equilibrio y que los tiempos sencillos hay que colocarlos como prioridad, porque al final de todo, es lo que más nos hace bien...

Así que yo soy de esas personas que vive su vida en ciudad, en el mundo moderno, uno de mis trabajos (crear contenido) es a través de la tecnología y lo disfruto. Pero también soy de las que en cualquier momento, me sienta agobiada o no, mi cuerpo me pide contacto con la naturaleza, y pues busco manera de hacerlo... yo cuando sea grande tendré mi respectiva casita en la playa para escaparme, desconectarme allá cuando lo vea necesario jajaj.

So answering more directly to the question, I am of simpler times, because I feel that you can truly feel alive and connected with life. However, I don't completely discard the modern and technological world, because it helps us to communicate, to know, to learn and to interact in a beautiful way with the rest of the world, and it also helps you with your work and your personal life in general. But I do consider that there must be a balance and that the simple times must be placed as a priority, because at the end of all, it is what makes us more good...

So I am one of those people who live their life in the city, in the modern world, one of my jobs (creating content) is through technology and I enjoy it. But I am also one of those that at any time, whether I feel overwhelmed or not, my body asks for contact with nature, and so I look for ways to do it... when I grow up I will have my own little house on the beach to escape, disconnect there when I see it necessary hahahah.

Balance is the key; I'm not sure in today's world, that folks who are used to the technology, would in fact be able to live in the total old way. I guess it's the desire of the person trying that would make or break it. Nonetheless, I too, would not want to 100% give up technology, but I also do wish for somewhat simpler times. balance is vital, tak as you say, there are people who are very used to the modern world and technology, that when they are out of that environment they have a hard time adapting, when it shouldn't be like that... but the lifestyle is respectable of each one, but taking a break is often very necessary. There are advantages and disadvantages to both periods and honestly, it's hard for most of us to choose just one. Hence, the key to living a simple life in the modern world is balance.

About one day a week I get balance by turning off all my electronics for 12 to 18 hours except for urgent phone calls and try to get some needed gardening done as my escape. We all could use a break on a regular basis.
