Psychology of Money: Why Money Changes People

source
It’s no news about how relevant money is and how important it is to have money. We all need it to survive and solve our daily needs. The psychology of money is how our behavior works with money, the effect of money on a person and how the person relatively act in respect of it effect. Whether you have it or not, it's hard to get away from the influence of money, your profession, your education, and your health are all directly influenced by it. Having money gives you more right and control over your own life, you can do things as you wish, acquire that asset without anyone stopping you, and even travel anywhere you wish. There’s one thing about having money and an entirely different thing on you spend it. But the only way to spend money is to spend it wisely. When I tell people the benefit on spending money wisely they would say "how can you spend money wisely when it will still definitely finish" well that means you do not have money. Yes... money is meant to be spent but only you knows how to go about it.
I have a friend who is well to do, he has a business, he lives lavishly and spend money anyhow, so one day I asked him as a concerned friend why he spends money so much. He said to me that one day everyone is going to die and leave their money behind, so it’s better for him to spend it while he’s alive. I laughed out so hard on hearing that from him but he still insisted that was his reason. Although, he was right and I wouldn’t blame him to think of such because that was his own psychology towards having money.
There’s a question I always ask myself and I think I have also gotten an answer to it. It is, Why do money changes people and I got an answer which was based on personal research in my society. We all work hard to be successful and wealthy, toil day and night to achieve those success goals, pass through thick and thin to ensure that we get financial freedom and finally the money comes and changes our psychology because of the "long suffering" we have endured which makes "us" become selfish and unethical. That’s why most wealthy people may justify pursuing wealth as a good thing, and craft a narratives of "how they single handle pave way for themselves," even if they were born into by privilege and tell you they have worked so hard for it.

Success with money isn’t about how well you know mathematics, it’s about your behavior, and everyone is prone to certain behaviors different from others. Once you become aware of your tendencies, you can tackle the power of your psychology, your thoughts and your intentions and you can literally change. Why does wealthy people tend to be more narcissist and think they're more skilled than the average person? I leave you with that question. If someone isn't wealthy, a wealthy person's logic goes, it's because they lack the talent or the drive to get to the that level.
Less wealthy people have less control over their environments and have been found to be more compassionate and generous to others. Might this be because, they haven’t tasted wealth yet that would make them autonomous or they have stay generous just to rely on one another to ensure that their needs are met? This is of a greater concern.
Sometimes, people often thinks that because they’re rich, they’re better at everything. Better looks, better educated, better worth, etc. Even the society had made us see this too, by classifying the different social class and effortlessly make people see where they belong. That’s the psychology effect of money, it’s like this side of them they kept long hidden in a secret room, kept away and just immediately wealth comes pops up to give people a surprise of their true identity. Money changes people.
According to @tarazkp in his post a lot with a little
And while these challenges are on a spectrum, we don't have to be at the extremes to feel empowered or oppressed - depending on how we ourselves frame our experience.
How we work to get money, the challenges we face and things we go through shouldn’t be a reflection of a negative impact on us.
Thank you all for reading
see you in my next post
Much of what we do in this world is not our doing - it is an alignment of conditions that we had no control over. Money is one of those things in many cases, as it often requires a bit of luck - though you can't engineer the luck itself, you can build habits that can take advantage of it, if it appears.
Thanks much... your content was so inspiring I must confess.
This is quite insightful. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks darling... good to have you back 🤗
You are welcome and thank youuuuuuuuuuu.
Spending money is inevitable. It must be done one way or another. It's the way we spend it that speaks volumes; that stabilizes or crashes our channel of flow. Experience has taught me this...

I personally do not think that money is strong enough to change people.
Money I believe is amoral and takes on the character of whoever holds it.
When people supposedly "change" after they become wealthy, it is only because the lack of money was masking their true nature.
People who have been around them would have noted traces even before the wealth came.
But all the same, it's a beautiful post here. @asherrobert
Well that’s the change am talking about... money unmasking their true nature.
Thanks much
