RE: Merry Christmas From Rising Star!

Before implementing a change we prefer to evaluate if it is going to improve the experience for our users or not.

Actually I don't remind a single peakd user asking for this, and we prefer to do this sort of changes only when our users request them.

Also this filter is not available in the standard Hive API, so it will need a custom implementation that I'm not sure is worth it at the moment. But maybe you can share some stats about dbuzz so we have a better understanding of how many daily users are on the platform and how many short-form posts you are publishing per day.

If the (daily) numbers are the ones I can see on hivedapps.com it's not worth the effort at the moment:

It's just too time consuming for the amount of post that will be hidden with this option.

Hi @asgarth, and thank you for replying.

  1. I am interested in having our Dev, @coffeebender write the actual code so that you don't have to worry about it (sent to the Hive.Blog repo).

  2. It shouldn't hide any posts, as both short-form and long-form posts can be the default on @peakd, but users could then flip to either or if they wanted to, instead of seeing both at the same time.

The stats you screenshotted is correct @asgarth and I understand that you don't think it's worth your time right now, can you quote a number when it would be?

P.S. Thank you @jarvie and thank you @asgarth, we will continue creating value to the best of our ability.

It's not about the number of users/posts, but how many PeakD users see value in filtering those (short) posts.

If we get enough requests and interest for this we'll add the filter. But I would like to see your preferred approach to implement this on hive.blog.

Ping me if you create a PR with the change ;)
