Earning and productivity review

List of my current monetized blogs and how much I earned from the last 3 posts.

  1. Hive - $1.9
  2. dBuzz (@groverafter, restarted posting there) - $0
  3. Blurt - 50 BLURT = $0.83
  4. Read.Cash - $0.03
  5. Noise.Cash - $0
  6. Odysee - $0 ( I started posting again few days ago)
  7. NFTShowroom - 0 ( I still didn't tokenized anything)

I put places which I recently restarted or which to use, like dBuzz, Odysee and NFTShowroom.
So total earned from these places where I post is not even 3 USD per last 3 posts, and those are not three days. I posted 3 days ago and 12 days ago on Blurt and Hive.
On ReadCash I stopped receiving any monetary reward 6 months ago and all my articles are pure zero in earnings regardless to a topic, length or quality of the post. The same happened on Noise.Cash, I am simply stuck under 50 cents for about two months. I will try posting during this week on Readcash and Noisecash, but if it doesn't show any results, again, I will abandon those pages and concentrate on more rewarding audience.

I had no time to play much with the Splinterlands, but I joined with the ListNerds.

Productivity - Internet usage

I installed time tracker on my browser to see how much time do I spend only on my PC on various websites.

  • Blogs, productivity and blockchain pages: 1h 16 min
  • Info and news: 28 min
  • Everything else: 1h 43min
  • Mobile phone app usage (mostly fun and news): 4h

I have almost 6 hours of nonsense hovering around and only about 2 hours of practical work registered, so I will change that.

I knew I would not make anything out of ReadCash, but NoiseCash rewards collapsed for me right after Ukraine dumpster fire, so I can only assume it has something to do with that crisis issue because some accounts just keep on accumulating rewards on bullshit posts. I wonder how the hell their contacts dose so much in rewards, while none of mine worth zeroes. I only get notified about the thing that I am not giving any votes but that is incorrect, the thing is rigged. And yes, it happened more than once on those .cash websites.

The thing with earning crypto online is that you wont just turn up on day one and start earning big bucks.

It's like any other social media where you need to put in the time and effort of growing your account.

Create a network, commit to the chain, comment on others work and turn up every day.

If you can do that and keep doing it over a period of time you will grow your account.

Look at any of the accounts that were large now and earning big rewards and they will all have something in common. Consistency over time. They started small and kept growing to the point that they are at now.

I did not just turn up, am in here from 2016 and pretty much consistent and committed with content creation, but even when I was the most active, had trail and discord community, onboarded members... I rarely received any recognition for that. I pointed at this a few times during the recent years but reaction was how dare you, how I can even ask such a thing, and it is really sad. I get fiction upvoted occasionally but that is also so low that I wonder does it really matter as there is not a single feedback. What is a use of all that imagination if nobody reads it, it's not that bot will give me a feedback because my character has an unpredictable or demented arch.... I usually don't even get any comments on any of my work, unless I go to someone's else article and they barely can say nice and thanks. I got tired of being hyper active and helpful, commenting and all that jazz so that I got "you should be more pro-active" and it has been 6 years prancing around. It didn't get me anywhere. Everybody slithers around own abundance and success, fame or whatever. I would make better by selling dumpster fire, cannibalizing pump carnage and pretend to be valid in my little bubble fantasy like so many others.

Thanks for dropping by. LeoFinance is cool.

Sorry I just assumed you were new to the scene with those low payouts.

Even with noise.cash i would still get 10-30c per post as well as $1 a day to give out in tips. Even though the numbers have gone way down. Even with hive you can usually hit a good trail every so often.

I do miss the fiction side of things as that is why i joined steem in the first place. A way to monetize my writing. Now it is all about tech and crypto with little space for freewriting and stories.

I have always envisioned building a wattpad clone onto hive with a different voting system. One that takes stake out of it and distributes rewards based on views or single upvotes instead of having whale accounts.

Everybody would be worth the same weight of votes and cut out the bots altogether. Encourage comments and engagement for all types of writers. Take the crypto side out of it altogether and make it more fun. That's where i would take all of this if i could build up enough funds to bring in the devs.

There is a lot of self promotion here too but that is all part of the wider game. If you want to win you need to get to the top.

I like your idea with the Wattpad clone, I have an account there and I was active around 2014. I unpublished my fiction and downloaded it for further edits recently.
I think that Wattpad format would be interesting to many, not only writers.

My concern about blockchain blogging is that there is a big dissonance between content creation and feedback it receives. There were some commenting/activity incentives around, I think Ecency also has some going, but with the time people who try to be pro-active get tired.

In past I used help of a content curation tool, I am not sure who made it, but it was so much easier to search and find interesting content by certain qualities, not just category/tag.

That's where i started writing fiction and stories myself back in the day. Then when i had built up a following i went in search of a way to do the same thing for money and found steem.

After that i went right to the bottom of the crypto rabbit hole and haven't stopped since. I have lost my way with the fun writing though which is a shame. That was the best part of the whole thing. Doing what you love but i will get back to writing stories again some day.
