THE BIG BILLION DAY SHAM

BIG BILLION DAY or as we call it BBD is a Sale which arrives every year around September and October and is one of the Biggest Online Sale in India but it is also something that is shrouded with a lot of controversy as well. The reason is pretty simple the sheer volume of people logging into the Website at once makes the website crash and not work properly.

For example I tried to check out a Smartphone for myself and almost all the time the Discount that should have been applied was not getting applied. For that reason I couldn't get myself an iPhone but the fact that there was multiple chances of not getting the proper discount I stayed back and ordered my Smartphone later down the road when everything calmed down a little.

But the thing that I am a little skeptical about is that was that whole ordeal of Discounts not getting applied on the final cart actually due to malfunction or some clever marketing strategy by Flipkart to gain from their Customers by potentially duping them. The reason I am saying this is because this is not the first time Flipkart has done the Big Billion Day Sale so it doesn't make sense for them to not be prepared. So yeah that is definitely FISHY and I really don't like such practices.
