Review of a Japanese Whiskey

Minimalist Beige Company Presentation.jpg

Suntory Whiskeys are one of the finest Whiskey makers in Japan and it was around 2020 when they launched their products here in India but it was only about 6 months ago since it came into the mainstream limelight as they tied up with some Influencers as well as Bollywood Artists to promote their Whiskey a little and coincidently I was one of the target audiences and after watching their promotions I was really looking forward to trying out some Japanese Whiskey. But the problem was that there were hardly any Bars in my Area that were selling these Japanese Whiskeys. Yes, I could have bought a bottle but there were no Bars Serving on a PEG basis. So I had to wait a lot for the Whiskey to be available at the Counter.

Finally, I was able to get it just a couple of days ago and it cost me around 500 INR per 60ml Whiskey which was a bit Steep but I indulged in it for the sake of trial. I got the SUNTORY TOKI Whiskey and I had around 200 ml of the Whiskey and it felt like it had some notes of Honey in it but I will be very Blunt here by saying that it was not as impressive as AMRUT's FUSION Whiskey that comes around the same price tag had more Honey Notes then TOKI. So yeah I was a tad bit disappointed but SUNTORY's TOKI is an Entry Level Japanese Whiskey so I am ok with it but if you ask me what would I choose between TOKI and FUSION then I would definitely pick AMRUT's FUSION.

But that being said I am not done with Japanese Premium Whiskeys as the next Whiskey that has caught my Eye is the SUNTORY HIBIKI and I am really looking forward to trying this Whiskey as its priced around the 10000 INR mark and I feel like that could be something very interesting to taste.
