My Gift to my Mom for Diwali

I have a strange trait when it comes to my Memory and it goes like this, I usually forget a lot of things like forgetting my purse while going out or forgetting my towels when I go on a trip but I always remember them quite soon but at the same time there are some things that are set in my memory like it happened yesterday. One of those memories was of my Mom looking over a Diamond Necklace and she said to me that she has always wanted to have a Diamond Set for herself but since my Tuition costs were huge she had to give that up. But I never forgot that and finally this Diwali I was able to fulfill my Moms wish

My Mom was definitely not willing to take it as it would cost a hefty chunk of money but I really Insisited and when she said no I just bought it and went back Home with the Necklace in my Backpack. My Mom was thinking that she was able to make my mind change but I surprised her with the Necklace when I asked my Mom to clear my Backpack as it was dirty. She scolded me a lot and then cried a lot before calling my Dad and giving him the news as well.
