Controlling my Spendings

When you are transacting almost everything by your Credit Card which has a decent Credit Limit then chances are that you are spending way more than you are meant to spend and in almost 8 out of 10 cases this goes through a nasty turn of events but if you are self-aware then you may be able to safeguard yourself from Financial Doom. I was spending a little too much on my WANTS, which are things I could live without, but since I get them at Discounts on the CRED app, I barely think twice before buying things via CRED.

But thanks to that I developed a minor case of CBD which stands for Compulsive Buying Disorder. I was buying all kinds of things from what I wanted to what I will never use in my Life. So after about spending more than what I would have liked to, I decided that it was time for me to make some changes so that my INVESTMENTS don't get hurt.

So I put one and only one key restriction to all my Purchases from the CRED App and the restriction was that if I purchase an item worth 100 INR from CRED I am to transfer 200 INR which is twice the cost of the item to my EMERGENCY FUND. By doing this I was increasing my EMERGENCY FUND with every purchase I make but at the same time subconsciously I was buying fewer and fewer items as normally people don't have 3x Money for whatever an Item costs with him. So a lot of times I just gave up on the item as it did not fulfill the RESTRICTION that I placed on myself.

It's that Simple, If you see that the door to a room is closed then either you find a KEY or you find another Door to that Room. I personally believe that at any given point there are numerous numbers of ways to complete a task and it depends on each individual user how he/she tackles that PROBLEM. So if Spending is my Problem I tackled it this way.
