Gracias.

Dios siempre de Cabrestero.

ENGLISH:

Hello Hivers friends, receive a respectful and cordial greeting from me, as I always wish for you blessings from the Most High translated into health, love, prosperity, positivism and good energy both for you and for those around you.

Every day I receive patients in my practice who say they feel different after having contracted and overcome COVID-19.

I must remember that COVID-19 (Coronavirus 2019) is a viral and infectious respiratory disease, easily contagious, whose origin is still unknown, despite the fact that there are numerous versions of its origin.

This condition that had its first cases in China, specifically in Wuhan, however, spread rapidly and progressively throughout the world, being recognized by the WHO (World Health Organization) as a pandemic.

It should be noted that COVID-19 generated a lot of skepticism in the world population, which resulted in hundreds of millions of people affected, collapsing health centers around the planet, many of those affected developed bilateral pneumonia, meaning that it affects both lungs (the most frequent complication), which generated respiratory failure that could even lead to death.

Among the most frequent symptoms of COVID-19 we can find: Fever, Cough, loss of taste and smell (either of the two can occur, even both), muscle aches, bone pain, sore throat, headache, diarrhea and vomiting.

While in severe cases, patients can manifest dehydration, chest pain, fainting, and difficulty breathing.

The good news is that since last year, the appearance of vaccines that have shown a truly high efficacy, causing a significant cessation of serious and fatal cases of COVID.

I must mention that in recent months a series of changes and variants in the initial DNA of the virus in question have been reported, and although the health authorities have been and should be alert, the rates of contagion and deaths have dropped considerably compared to the initial disease.

However, there is a condition that has been affecting those who came to suffer from and overcome the well-known COVID-19, and which is known as "post-covid syndrome".

Among its manifestations can be found: tiredness due to mild exertion, inability to fall asleep, memory loss, hair loss, among others.

When receiving patients with these characteristics, I can see that they are anxious and it is not for less, the news that was handled was not encouraging.

Similarly, many studies have been carried out on the "postcovid syndrome", where stress has been determined as the main reason for the symptoms of the disease, although it cannot be overlooked that the Coronavirus is a new disease that is still study, and where each individual will show a different recovery.

In any case, patients with post-COVID symptoms must undergo an exhaustive medical evaluation, where the patient must be evaluated comprehensively through physical examination and laboratory tests, thus verifying that there are no sequelae of this disease.

It is important to mention that psychological support is essential, as it will help the individual to return to their daily work with confidence and without fear that their life is in danger.

Thanks.

God always Cabrestero.

Note: Everything I share here is thanks to my studies in the area of medicine, where I am a specialist in family medicine, and a current resident in the internal Medina postgraduate course.
