Painting CD's - Mountain [Eng-Esp]
Greetings, hivsartics. In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with paint (I hope later to be able to buy watercolor paints, as they are my goal). I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get creative.
The reason why I am talking about book leaves is because I own many books (some of them complete and some of them stripped) in deplorable conditions that have been damaged by humidity and even some rodents, but knowing their condition I decided to keep them, recycle their leaves and make art with them, apart from the one they already are. Because each book is a portal to learning, adventure or love. In addition, for this new line of art I also used old, scratched and deteriorated cd's. The idea certainly yielded a very colorful result and I was in loved, so I think I'll be doing this for a while.
For this new installment of "Painting CD's", I present a beautiful landscape on a floating piece of land. All this on a sheet of old book attached to an old cd. A complete recycling work turned into art. I loved the result, it is simple but beautiful, I hope you can enjoy it too.
Saludos, hivsarticos. En la entrega de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra hecha con pintura (espero más adelante poder comprar las pinturas de acuarela, ya que son mi objetivo). Simplemente quise crear una pieza y escuchando música (Spotify en aleatorio), me he dejado llevar por la creatividad.
El porqué sobre hojas de libros es debido a que poseeo muchos libros (algunos completos y algunos deshojados) en estados lamentables que se han dañado por la humedad e incluso algunos roedores, pero sabiendo su estado decidí quedarmelos, reciclar sus hojas y hacer arte con ellos, aparte de la que ya son. Porque cada libro es un portal a la enseñanza, a la aventura o al amor. Además, para esta nueva línea de arte también utilicé cd's viejos, rayados y deteriorados. La idea sin duda arrogó un resultado bastante pintoresco y quedé enamorada, por lo que creo que haré esto por un tiempo.
Para esta nueva entrega de "Pintando CD's", les presento un hermoso paisaje sobre un trozo de tierra flotante. Todo esto sobre una hoja de libro viejo unida a un cd viejo. Un trabajo completo de reciclaje convertido en arte. Me encantó el resultado, es simple pero hermoso, espero que también lo puedan disfrutar.

1. To begin, in a clean and illuminated space, we will start the process of elaborating our canvas. We will gather all the materials we will need and make ourselves comfortable. First we will glue the sheet of old book to the CD cover and let it dry very well and then cut the rest of the canvas around all the edges.
1. Para iniciar, en un espacio limpio e iluminado comenzaremos el proceso de elaboración de nuestro lienzo. Reuniremos todos los materiales que vamos a necesitar y nos pondremos cómodos. Primero pegaremos la hoja de libro viejo a la caratula del cd y dejaremos secar muy bien para luego cortar el resto por todos los bordes.
2. The first coat of paint will be a mixture of colors between blue and green. This will be the floating earth part. In my case I did it with a small piece of sponge but you can do it with a brush. The idea is to go from the center of the canvas to the bottom but without touching the edges.
2. La primera capa de pintura será una mezcla de colores entre azul y verde. Esto será la parte de tierra flotante. En mi caso lo hice con un pedazo de esponja pequeña pero muy bien lo pieden hacer con un pincel. la idea es ir del centro dl lienzo hasta la parte inferior pero sin tocar los bordes.
3. For the next part of the canvas we will apply brown paint for the farthest mountain and when it finishes drying, we will apply black for the nearest mountain. I did all this with a small thin brush.
3. Para la siguiente parte del lienzo aplicaremos pintura marrón para la montaña mas lejana y cuando termine de secar, aplicaremos negro para la montaña más cercana. Todo esto lo realicé con un pincel delgado y pequeño.
4. For the pine trees we will make a mixture of green and blue paint. With the help of the tip of a toothpick I traced the tips of the pines and with a brush I deepened the color of the density of the pines.
4. Para los pinos haremos una mezcla de pintura verde y azul. Con la ayuda de la punta de un palillo tracé las puntas de los pinos y con un pincel profundicé el color de la densidad de los pinos.
5. For the next step we will apply a layer of black paint for the moon, which will look like it is behind the landscape. After it dries, we will apply white to create the moon spots, this will create a very similar grayish look.
5. Para el siguiente paso aplicaremos una capa de pintura negra para la luna, que parecerá que está detrás del paisaje. Luego de secarse, aplicaremos blanco para crear las manchas de la luna, esto le creará un aspecto grisaceo muy similar.
5. To finish the whole canvas I highlighted some details and subtly painted the Artemisart logo to seal my work.
5. Para finalizar todo el lienzo remarqué algunos detalles y pinté sutilmente el logo de Artemisart para sellar mi trabajo.
