Paint N° 6 : Him and I [Eng-Esp]
Greetings, hivsartics. In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with paint (I hope later to be able to buy watercolor paints, as they are my goal). I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get creative.
Why on book leaves is because I own a lot of books (some complete and some unleafed) in deplorable states that have been damaged by humidity and even some rodents, but knowing their state I decided to keep them, recycle their leaves and make art with them, apart from the one they already are. Because each book is a portal to learning, adventure or love.
For this installment N° 6 I presented several simple drawings (although they were complicated to make, since I am not good at making hands, but I tried). In these drawings you can appreciate the interaction of a man and a woman, either as lovers or simple partners. The drawings were then painted with soft colors and differentiated into squares. I really liked the result although I can obviously improve for future deliveries.
Saludos, hivsarticos. En la entrega de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra hecha con pintura (espero más adelante poder comprar las pinturas de acuarela, ya que son mi objetivo). Simplemente quise crear una pieza y escuchando música (Spotify en aleatorio), me he dejado llevar por la creatividad.
El porqué sobre hojas de libros es debido a que poseeo muchos libros (algunos completos y algunos deshojados) en estados lamentables que se han dañado por la humedad e incluso algunos roedores, pero sabiendo su estado decidí quedarmelos, reciclar sus hojas y hacer arte con ellos, aparte de la que ya son. Porque cada libro es un portal a la enseñanza, a la aventura o al amor.
Para esta entrega N° 6 les presentó varios dibujos simples (aunque fueron complicados de hacer, ya que no soy buena haciendo manos, pero lo intenté). En estos dibujos se puede apreciar la interacción de un hombre y una mujer, ya se como amantes o simples compañeros. Los dibujos fueron posteriormente pintados con colores suaves y diferenciados en cuadros. Me gustó mucho el resultado aunque evidentemente puedo mejorar para futuras entregas.

Before starting, we must organize ourselves very well. Gathering all the materials we will use is a good start. We must also choose a quiet place, with good lighting, dry, spacious and cleanable. This way we will be comfortable and there will be no inconveniences to carry out our work.
Antes de comenzar debemos organizarnos muy bien. Juntar todos los materiales que utilizaremos es un buen inicio. También debemos escoger un lugar tranquilo, con buena iluminación, seco, amplio y que se pueda ensuciar. Así estaremos cómodos y no habrá inconvenientes para realizar nuestra obra.
To continue, we are going to glue each of the sheets together. In my case I used white school glue. I formed a kind of big sheet with them and let it dry.
Para continuar vamos a pegar cada una de las hojas. En mi caso utilicé pega blanca escolar. Forme una especie de lámina grande con ellas y dejé que se secara.
Then I began to draw taking as a reference the space between two sheets as the limit. It is mostly based on line art, which is a simple drawing with a few connected lines, but still it is perfectly understandable what it is all about. I tried to draw the best I could, especially the hands, but honestly I must practice more because for me some of them look terrible. But I will try to practice hands, I promise.
Luego comencé a dibujar tomando omo referencia el espacio de la unión de dos hojas como el límite. Más que todo se basa en arte lineal, lo cual es un dibujo simple con unas cuantass líneas conectadas, pero aun así se entiende perfectamente de qué se trata. Intenté dibujar lo mejor posible, sobretodo las manos, pero sinceramente debo practicar más pues para mi algunas siento que se ven terribles. Pero intentaré practicar manos, lo prometo.
Now we enter the painting stage. I got a mix between red, brown and pink to apply to the skin. I wasn't really looking for a real skin tone, I wanted something more peculiar but that's what came out. I liked the result though. Here in the pictures the paint was still quite wet.
Ahora entramos en la etapa de la pintura. Conseguí una mezcla entre rojo, marrón y rosa para aplicar a la piel. Realmente no estaba buscando un tono de piel real, quería algo más peculiar pero eso fue lo que salió. Sin embargo me gustó el resultado. Aquí en las fotos aún la pintura estaba bastante húmeda.
Later, after the paint dried and the paper took on a fairly subtle and skin-friendly color, I applied a purple tone to the edges of the female figure and dark blue for the male figure. However, I felt that something was missing. It was a bit lonely and even though that had been the whole initial plan, it could have looked better.
Más tarde, después de que se secara la pintura y el papel adoptó un color bastante sutil y adecuado para la piel, apliqué con un tono morado los bordes de la figura femenina y con azul oscuro para la figura masculina. Sin embargo, sentía que faltaba algo. Estaba un poco solo y a pesar de que ese había sido todo el plan inicial, podía quedar mejor.
So that's when I thought of making these kind of divisions into two-color squares for each of the scenes, because that's what they look like, scenes. I chose a turquoise and a purple color. Both of them I didn't have among my paints and I had to mix colors to form them. They looked a little dark when freshly applied but I would change later.
Entonces fue que pensé en hacer esta clase de divisiones en cuadros de dos colores para cada una de las escenas, porque eso es lo que parecen, escenas. Escogí un color turquesa y uno morado. Ambos no los tenía entre mis pinturas y debí mezclar colores para formarlos. Se veían algo oscuros recien aplicados pero luego cambiaría.
For the final result we can appreciate each of the painted pictures. In the photograph the paint was still a little wet. It is like a representation of the most intimate moments a couple can have, a palpable connection, unforgettable memories. I liked the result in spite of being a simple piece.
Para el resultado final podemos apreciar cada uno de los cuadros pintados. En la fotografía aún estaba algo húmeda la pintura. Es como una representación de los momentos más intimos que puede tener una pareja, una conexión palpable, recuerdos inolvidables. Me gustó el resultado a pesar de ser una pieza un poco simple.
