Richala and Carola get up very early every day to go to school, they like to be bathed and very well dressed, but what matters most to them is to put on their head feathers, a big bow that matches the colors of their dresses and thus look prettier.
Richala y Carola se levantan cada día muy temprano para ir a la escuela, les gusta ir bañadas y muy bien vestidas, pero lo que a ellas más les importa es colocarse en sus plumitas de la cabeza, un gran lazo que combine con los colores de sus vestidos y así verse más bonitas.
When Richala and Carola meet at school, they look each other up and down and the discussion begins; then, Richala says to Carola: -I am more beautiful today than you with my beautiful bow- and Carola replies: -No, I am the one who looks more beautiful because I have the prettiest ribbon.
And so minutes go by before entering the classroom.
Cuando Richala y Carola se encuentran en la escuela, se miran una a la otra de arriba a abajo y comienza la discusión; entonces, Richala le dice a Carola: -¡Yo hoy estoy más hermosa que tu con mi bello lazo- y Carola le responde: -No, yo soy la que se ve más bella porque tengo el lazo más bonito-
Y así pasan minutos antes de entrar al aula de clases.
Teacher Serafina, a very fine hen, noticed what was going on with her students Richala and Carola. Teacher Serafina did not like that her pretty little hens were arguing over who brought the prettiest ribbon to school each day before entering the classroom. So as a good teacher, she sought to solve the problem.
La maestra Serafina una gallina muy fina, se dio cuenta de lo que estaba sucediendo con sus alumnas Richala y Carola, a ella no le gustó que sus lindas gallinitas estuvieran discutiendo por quien traía el lazo más bonito a la escuela cada día antes de entrar al salón de clases. Así que como buena maestra, buscó darle solución al problema.
So, she called an extraordinary meeting with the hen mothers of Richala and Carola to communicate the situation that was happening with their daughters and asked them to hide all the ribbons they both had when they got home; then the teacher Serafina went to the Gallo Renato's store and also told him about the situation of her hens, so she asked him that when Richala and Carola went to buy ribbons, she would only sell them white ribbons.
Así que, convocó a una reunión extraordinaria, a las mamás gallinas de Richala y Carola para comunicar la situación que se estaba presentando con sus hijas y les pidió que al llegar a sus casas, escondieran todos los lazos que ambas tuvieran; luego la maestra Serafina se fue a la tienda del Gallo Renato y le contó también la situación de sus gallinitas, así que le pidió que cuando Richala y Carola fueran a comprar lazos, solo les vendiera lazos de color blanco.
The next day when Richala and Carola met at school, they didn't know what to say to each other, both had beautiful big white ribbons on their heads. The teacher Serafina was very happy to tell them how beautiful they both looked with their white ribbons and made all the students in the classroom tell them that they looked beautiful with their new ribbons.
Since then Richala and Carola have been friends and they agree to go to school with the same color ribbon every day.
Al día siguiente cuando Richala y Carola se encontraron en la escuela, no sabían que decirse, ambas traían en sus cabezas unos bellos y grandes lazos de color blanco. La maestra Serafina muy contenta les dijo lo hermosas que las dos se veían con sus lazos blancos e hizo que todos los alumnos del salón les dijeran también que se veían bellas con sus lazos nuevos.
Desde entonces Richala y Carola son amigas y se ponen de acuerdo para ir a la escuela con el lazo del mismo color todos los días.

Tje teacher did the nice thing to have told their mother about the argument on who puts on the best ribbon. Their mum on the other hand had solved the problem successfully without doubt.
