Compliment of the season to any and every one reading this. I enjoyed my christmas celebration, didn't want it to end, lol.
To the business of the day, I almost got lost while coming back home. I did my National Youth Service Corps( NYSC) in Taraba State. A state I never thought I could find myself. I liked it or not, I completed my NYSC in Taraba state, didn't bother to redeploy. One thing I didn't like about Taraba State is how distant it is to my residential state. I hate long journeys as a person, so to journey for two days was a lot for me.
I was set to travel to my state this day. Happily boarded a bus to Benue state because there were no vehicles that travel to my state directlty from Taraba state. My first journey was to Benue State. Although smooth but I still endured it because I just don't like travelling. Maybe because of ill-maintained commercial buses and I do have motion sickness. If you have a remedy for motion sickness, kindly let me know in the comment section. I want to enjoy travelling .
To the interesting part where I almost got lost. I had to continue my journey from where I stopped. From Makurdi, Benue State to Ilorin, Kwara state. The journey started, I wished the driver could travel at the speed of light, lol, cos I just wanted to get home fast.
It was getting dark and we kept on with the journey. Unknowingly to us, the driver does not know the way to Ilorin, he has been driving us base on what I do not know. He took an abrupt turn at a junction. I was seated beside him. I felt something was wrong but i didn't say anything.
As our bus was just going, a man stopped. God indeed sent that man to us. He just stopped us and asked where we were going, we said Ilorin. He exclaimed and said this is not the road to Ilorin. Everyone in the bus were shocked. Like we trusted this man to drive us to Ilorin.
He was putting us all in danger, he was taking passengers to a destination he does not know, all alone at that. If he had actually brought someone who is very familiar to the road, it would have been better. He kept quiet all along, not asking for help from anyone. Scary isn't it. Thank goodness for the man that stopped us and redirected us back to the right track. I was fortunate to catch a glimpse of the directional signs as we were going back to the right way. I saw Abuja, the man has been taking us to Abuja all along 😭😭. Well, thank God eventually. Since he's been busrsted cos he was trying to hide the fact that he doesn't know the road to Ilorin. I helped with google map, thank God for that too. Eventually and cutting long story short,I got to Ilorin, feeling exhausted. The journey that was to take a day took me two days 😒. I was so exhausted on getting home. I can't remember for how long I slept to regain my strength.

Wow! Glad you got home safe in the end. I'm even more thankful to the man who redirected your bus. These drivers and pride though🙄
