Hello dear friends, pet lovers. Something that pleases me about life is that we can enjoy it with the animals we like the most. My favorite pets are dogs, but after a time when I thought I didn't like kittens, I fell in love with one that I had and that made me want to pet and play with all the cats that came near me. The cat I had as a pet, was very disciplined, because I made sure he had his place at home and did not do unpleasant things. From doing his business, where it was the right thing to do, to eating without having to climb on my table. On some occasions I would see how he marked the area when he peed on the walls or some garden plants, even the tires of the car, hahaha. I always thought it was to tell us that it belonged to him too, but he never peed on me. Now I want to tell you what happened to me with Fred and what I could deduce as to why he did it.

Hola queridos amigos amantes de las mascotas. Algo que me agrada de la vida, es que podemos disfrutarla junto a los animales que más nos gustan. Mis mascotas preferidas son los perros, pero después de un tiempo en que pensé que no me gustaban los gatitos, me enamoró uno que tuve y que logro que quisiera acariciar y jugar con todos los gatos que se me acercan. El gato que tuve de mascota, era muy disciplinado, porque me aseguré de que tuviera su lugar en casa y que no hiciera cosas desagradables. Desde hacer sus necesidades, dónde era lo correcto, como el comer sin tener que subirse a mi mesa. En algunas ocasiones veía como marcaba la zona cuando orinaba las paredes o algunas plantas de jardín, incluso las llantas del carro, jajaja. Siempre pensé que era para decirnos que eso le pertenecía a él también, pero nunca me hizo pipí encima a mí. Ahora quiero contarles lo que me sucedió con Fred y lo que pude deducir del por qué lo hizo.

On a visit to a new friend, at her house, we were a group of us together having lunch. I see the kitty Fred who is friendly...there were also dogs and chickens, all loose in the yard. Seeing that this kitty is nice, I set out to take close up pictures of him...to see if he would let me, because I love his gray and white...tabby color. So I crouch down to get closer to him, and manage to get a few pictures of him. As I'm going through the pictures still crouched down, Fred turns me around and that's when I felt something hot land on my clothes. I get up and turn around, but in the end I thought it was just my idea. I see the cat laying on his back, very relaxed, then he stands up and walks away.

En una visita a una nueva amiga, en su casa, estábamos un grupo reunidos almorzando. Yo veo al gatito Fred que es amigable... también habían perros y gallinas, todos sueltos en el patio. Como veo que este gatito es agradable, me dispongo a sacarle fotos de cerca...a ver si se dejaba, porque me encanta su color gris y blanco...atigrado. Entonces me agacho para estar más cerca de él, y logro sacarle unas fotos. Mientras estoy revisando las fotos aún agachada, Fred me da la vuelta y es cuando sentí que algo caliente me cayó en la ropa. Me levanto y me doy la vuelta, pero al final pensé que eran ideas mias. Veo al gato que se echa patas arriba, muy relajado, luego se para y se va.

At that moment a friend approached me and took the opportunity to ask if she saw something wet on my garment. To my surprise she said yes...she couldn't believe it when I told her, hahaha. I immediately talked to the owner of the kitten and she was amazed by her behavior. I can tell you that sometimes when you are not doing very well in life you say playfully: "what you need is a dog to pee on you", but a cat... Hahahaha, unbelievable for me. It had never happened to me before. For this reason I started to investigate what can happen in a behavior like this.

En eso se me acerca una amiga y aprovecho de preguntar si veía algo húmedo en mi prenda de vestir. Para mí sorpresa me dijo que si...no lo podía creer cuando le conté, jajaja. En seguida hablé con la dueña del gatito y se quedó asombrada por su comportamiento. Les puedo decir que uno dice jugando a veces, cuando no le va muy bien en la vida: "lo que falta es que un perro te orine", pero un gato?... Jajajaja, increíble para mi. Nunca me había sucedido. Por está razón me puse a investigar lo que puede suceder en un comportamiento así.

Fred's owner tells me that he has never done that with anyone, that like other males, he does it when he has females around and that she thought it was to leave his pheromones there so he could mate or to make himself felt. But I was investigating and there are pathological reasons, of marking, insecurity or acceptance to their social circle, for which cats can urinate on a person. With this I think that in my case it could be for these reasons:

La dueña de Fred, me dice que nunca había hecho eso con alguien, que al igual que otros machos, lo hace cuando tiene cerca a las hembras y que ella pensaba que era para dejar allí sus feromonas y así poder aparearse o para hacerse sentir. Pero estuve investigando y hay razones patológicas, de marcaje, por inseguridad o por aceptación a su círculo social, por el cual los gatos pueden orinar encima de una persona. Con esto creo que en el caso mío puede ser por estás razones:

✔️One, I am arriving at his house for the first time, I approach him, I barely manage to touch him, but he lets me, and he reacts by sliding down my legs, as a sign of affection. So I think he was welcoming me to his circle of friends, or at least allowing me to be in his zone, hahahaha, I am optimistic thinking this, hahaha.
✔️La another reason, is that since he didn't know me, he felt insecure about me invading his zone, and for this reason he peed on me. Although I doubt it a little, that this reason is the predominant one, because of his behavior with me, but anything is possible.
✔️ It could also have been that I keep in frequent contact with "Rosita", a beautiful cat of my neighbor friend, and maybe her cat scent was on me, and when Fred sensed it, he wanted to mark me for it.

✔️Una, que yo estoy llegando a su casa por primera vez, me le acerco, logro a penas tocarlo, pero se deja, y el reacciona deslizándose por mis piernas, cómo muestra de cariño. Así que pienso que me estaba dando la bienvenida a su círculo de amistades, o al menos me permitía estar en su zona, jajajaja, soy optimista pensando esto, jajaja.
✔️La otra razón, es que como no me conocía, se sintiera inseguro de que invadiera su zona, y por esta razón me orinó. Aunque lo dudo un poco, que está razón sea la predominante, por su comportamiento conmigo, pero todo es posible.
✔️También pudo haber sido que yo mantengo contacto frecuente con "Rosita", una hermosa gata de mi vecina amiga, y puede que su olor a gata estuviera en mi, y cuando Fred lo sintió, quiso marcarme por eso.

What would go through the head of this beautiful feline, who put his mark on me for who knows what?...it will remain a mystery, hahaha. It was an interesting experience that gave me a lot of laughter and curiosity at the same time. Even my friends present who knew what happened, made jokes to my husband, telling him that someone else wanted me as his property, hahaha, we laughed a lot with that. Then it was my turn to go to the bathroom and wash my clothes, since I had to continue making visits after lunch and I still wouldn't go home. But this attitude of Fred's taught me something new about these felines that I had not experienced, nor did I know why they did it.

Que pasaría por la cabeza de este hermoso felino, que me puso su marca por quién sabe que?...seguirá siendo una incógnita, jajaja. Fue una experiencia interesante que me dió mucha risa y a la vez curiosidad. Hasta mis amigas presentes que supieron lo ocurrido, le hicieron bromas a mi esposo, diciéndole que alguien más me quería como su propiedad, jajaja, nos reímos mucho con eso. Después me tocó ir al baño y lavar mi ropa, pues tenía que seguir haciendo visitas después del almuerzo y aún no iría a casa. Pero esta actitud de Fred me enseñó algo nuevo sobre estos felinos que no había experimentado,ni sabía el por qué lo hacían.

It helped me to investigate and learn more about his behavior with people. But outside of the game, I had not heard anyone say that their cat or another had peed on him, as happened to me, hahaha. In the end I said goodbye to Fred and he just saw me and left. I hope that since I am going to visit these friends again soon, this "cute kitty" will welcome me with pleasure and not feel that I am invading his space. It was a little painful to share with you my special experience with Fred, the feline that marked me in every way, hahaha, but I hope you like my writing. Me sirvió para investigar y conocer mejor su comportamiento con las personas. Pero fuera de juego, yo no había escuchado a nadie decir que su gato u otro lo habían orinado, como me pasó a mi, jajaja. Al final me despedí de Fred y el solo me vió y se fue. Espero que como voy pronto a visitar a estos amigos de nuevo, este "lindo gatito", me reciba con gusto y no que se sienta que invado su espacio. Fue un poco penoso compartir con ustedes mi experiencia especial con Fred, el felino que me marcó en todos los sentidos, jajaja, aunque espero que sea de su agrado mi escrito.
