Downvote is an important tool to allow the community to moderate the content that is published on our platform.
The problem that the majority of users encounter with downvotes is not the existence of this feature, but the erroneous "blog and earn" message that is often conveyed and the poor perception by users of how the reward pool works. On the other side, I also have to admit that there are abuses that some do with their (down)voting power when they assign themselves to the role of the reward pool protectors. This is a very long debate, which has already been going on for a long time and which is difficult to summarize in a few lines.
In the absence of something else better, I am therefore in favor of maintaining this functionality.

As for the interest rate, you will notice that I have not changed the one I am signaling, for now. Which doesn't mean it shouldn't change in the future. It is not a question of pleasing investors but of properly managing the financial part of our ecosystem.

I think that marcets are simple to understand.

This blockchain do not produce annually wealth of 20% in order to pay the high interest Rates of the HBD holders. So the wealth of Hive is further loosing value.

The problem is that the Big stake holder are causing this problem triggered by and nothing else.

The KISS rule at.financial marcets is KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID...

So high interest rates at HBD and decreasing productivity and activity leads to unlimited destruction which ist augmented by downvotes.

So HIVE holders will further loose value until all is worthless.

Your monthly income as wittness will be destructed by the current structural deficits of this blockchain.

Think about it, otherwise the marcet will force you to do it in future.

Investors don't like the Hive System and the destruction of their Investment by the current existing structure.

I give you my witness vote, because I respect your opinion and your engagement.

Normally I don´t suppoert wittness who thinks that the downvote button would be a valuable tool, because this is NOT the case. Downvotes always means destruction and destruction never results increasing values - never.

So I want to see that you are more engaged to abolish this instrument of downvotes together with other wittnesses - otherwise I will reject my vote for you in future.

I barely use downvotes as we both agree that their perception is mostly negative. But I remain convinced that in some (extreme) situations, having such a feature on hand can be useful. As always, it's a matter of how you use it.

Downvotes are destruction - the damage of destruction is bigger than anything else.

Successful Social Media needs support - not destruction.

How will this blockchain survive in future if you not abolish the downvote feature?

I think that this blockchain has no future as long the downvote feature is used to destroy accounts.
