NeedleWork: Crocheted Slippers Rejected by a Customer

Good day to everyone. How are you all doing? Hope you and your family are fine together with business. Wow, it's been a while since we meet in this wonderful community.

Today is another day as I will be sharing with you all the wonderful slippers I and my team made for clients who complain a lot.

Some clients are just there to complain despite the effort you make to satisfy their needs and I have learned to take that responsibility not to give any of my customers wrong or arrogant feedback.

Yesterday, a man came to my house with her sister to make a request that I should crochet slippers for her that she will be using that same yesterday. I told the customer that we don’t work on Sundays but he can place the order then by today being Monday that he will get the slippers.

Can you imagine what the sister told me? The sister said that I must do the slipper for her and I asked her the reason why she was insisting on that. She said that some weeks ago that she use to pass my house and she will see some of my workers crocheting peoples work and for that reason, I must work her own too. I told her that those ones were based on agreement and were never demanded on Sundays as she thinks but she should not worry that she will get her own by Monday today.

The girl argued with me that this is the reason why she doesn’t trust needle workers like tailors, and shoemakers that we lye a lot. I made her understand that she doesn’t expect anyone to be working from week to week without having any single day for rest. I also made her understand that the type of slipper she is demanding me to crochet for her is that the complete materials are not in my house. She later left.

Today some hours ago from this wring, the customer came to the shop for the collection of the crocheted slipper. When she saw the slippers, she complained bitterly that she don’t like the slippers. I told her that we can make adjustments to the slippers and she said there was no need in doing that. She left my shop without collecting the slippers.

Well, in a business some days are like that not minding that today is Monday. I believe another customer will like it.

Materials used for the work:

Yarn is commonly what we use in crocheting the slippers to make them look good and nice. Yarn is a material just like leather used in shoe leather making.

Leather is what is commonly used to attach the crocheting of slippers to give it full outlook.

Sole is seen as the main pointer in slippers making because it carries the whole burden of the slippers during walking display.

Gum is mostly used to hold the slipper's leather and the sole together to give it a long-lasting period.

Tools that were used for the work:

Yarn pin used for crocheting.

Scissors for cutting yarn.

Hammer for nailing and pressing of leather to hold well with the sole.

Lighter matches are used for the mouth trimming of yarn after crocheting.

Sandpaper for sole and leather cracking.

Gum brush.

Some ways the slippers can be made:

Knowing the type of slippers you want to crochet.

Knowing the size also is a good one for you.

Having the complete materials should also be noted.

Make a sketch drawing of the leather.

Cut your size slipper leather.

Get your round ring material and place it on the leather and then start your crocheting.

Sandpaper your sole and leather well to remove sand and make the well crack.

Place some gum using a brush.

Place the sole and leather in the sun to dry.

You have to gum the crocheted leather and sole together.

You hit gently with a hand or hammer to make the slippers hold very well.

She complained that she don't like the slipper's outlook even when I tried to calm her down.
