Today, I decided to make some crocheted earrings for a friend’s wife as a surprise. But before I proceed, I will like to thank every member of this community, especially @yolimarag and @marleyn for the effort they has being playing in this community to make sure that everything is moving well. I love joining this community not regarding that this will be the second time I’m making a post here. But from today, I’ll try as much as possible to be making a post here on a weekly basis because I have a lot of skills to show here when talking about Jewelry.

Let me go straight to the point of today, do you know why I decided to make a crocheting earring surprise for a friend’s wife? It’s because it has been a long I meet with the husband after we finished one Year of NYSC service. Her husband was a very good friend to me when we were still serving in Makurdi local government area of Benue state Nigeria some years ago. After our one-year NYSC service, we both left each other and I never believed that I will be seeing him again because I lost my phone where I saved his contact that same year.

Last week, I shared a post in one of my favorite communities about how I was able to meet with this friend of mine through my crocheting slipper business when they entered my shop causing a quarrel. Well, let me gist you a little so that you will fully understand why I’m making this crocheting earring for the wife.

It all started when a woman and I reached an agreement for me to make some crocheting slippers for her. After the agreement and she made payment for the yarn crocheted slipper should be designed for her by me. When I started crocheting the slipper, I couldn’t finish the final work based on the day for her to collect the slipper as agreed, which means I failed her. To be honest with you, I failed the woman two times and on the third day she came to my crocheting shop, she was quarreling with me that I’m not supposed to be trusted in business which I tried explaining to her.

As the lady was quarreling, the husband came out of the car and was like who’s making his wife shout? As the husband was coming closer to me in order for me to explain better, he removed his glasses and called me by my name. Shockingly to me, it was an old friend. That was how we meet each other again after so many years of NYSC service.

In order for me to make my friend's wife happy again after the incident not minding that I and the husband have resolved the issues and the wife forgive me too, I chose to surprise her today with a crocheting earring because she’s not even aware that I crochet earrings too. I also want to retain the full trust of business from her again and the entire family but I just hope she’ll love the earring.

Materials and tools used in crocheting the earring:

Red and black yarn material was used.

An earring pander was also used.

A yarn pin was used for the crocheting.

Lightening matches.

Scissors.

Procedures used in crocheting the earring:

I first understood the type of earrings to make.

I also understood the design and color of yarn material to combine.

I took my crocheting step by step using the pander earring with the help of a yarn pin.

I cut the yarn after crocheting.

I used matches to trim the mouth of my earring crocheting.

The crocheted earring was ready to be used.
