Hello friends, I hope you are doing well. If you have not yet made the probably wise decision not to follow the news networks, perhaps you have come across more than one article or press release about monkeypox. In my case, I could not help but have a feeling of Deja Vu when I saw how the matter has been developing, starting with a couple of cases, then a few more, then in several countries in different continents... and I cannot help thinking, with some suspicion that it is too much of a coincidence...

After all, big pharma made billions in profits during the covid pandemic, another pandemic would be good for business, while governments around the world suddenly found themselves with an excuse to control populations in a draconian way 'for the common good' today we'll examine those points a bit... and the possibility of it becoming a habit...

But to begin with, let's get the basics out of the way. What is the Monkeypox?
Monkeypox is a variant of smallpox discovered in Africa in 1958 that is primarily found in primates, although it can be transmitted to humans.

Symptoms include fever, headache, back and muscle aches, fatigue, chills and swollen joints, and within 1 to 3 days the patient begins to develop the postulated characteristics.

The disease lasts 2-4 weeks, in Africa historically monkeypox has a 10% mortality rate [we are talking about Africa, i.e. medical resources are limited].

The disease can be contracted by contact with fluids [including airborne saliva particles] with the eyes, mouth or any other mucosa, and with the skin if there is any wound even if it is imperceptible. The exchange of fluids with an infected person is a guarantee of contagion.

Current status of the spread of the disease

Currently, cases have been identified in more than 11 countries, as far apart from each other as Israel is from England and this one from Australia. The case of England is particularly worrisome since with more than 20 cases, experts are beginning to believe that not all of them are from people who were infected in Africa, but that there are already contagions within the country.

Although health authorities say that we are not facing a new pandemic because the method of transmission of the virus is not as prolific as that of Covid, I personally do not really believe these experts, remember that the WHO lied to the world for months about Covid, claiming that it could be transmitted from person to person by air. That said, the investigations are ongoing, but it is possible that this is all just fear of a new pandemic bringing out the worst in all of us, I sincerely hope so....

But if not... wouldn't that be too much of a coincidence?

Pandemics are a profitable business, not for us... but many corporations received stimulus packages from governments around the world to avoid bankruptcy, authoritarian governments around the world took the opportunity to lock people in their homes with the excuse of the pandemic, how many of you remember the epic struggle that was fought in Hong Kong to prevent the city from falling under the total control of the Chinese state9 few people... because that happened in 2019. Just when the pandemic appeared.

But nevertheless the biggest beneficiaries were the huge pharmaceutical companies that produced the vaccines.

To quote some figures.

The US government spent between 18 and 23 BILLION dollars for the development of the vaccines, this money was used to directly fund the development, make advance purchases, and finance the storage and distribution chains of the vaccines. This money is in addition to the millions spent by the U.S. government on vaccine development.

Moderna, for example, covered 100% of its vaccine development costs with U.S. taxpayer money, $2.5 billion to be exact. In addition, Moderna received $4.95 million in advance purchase money from the U.S. government before the vaccine was ready.

Pfizer, which boasted of having developed its vaccine without any government funding, received 5.95 billion dollars as an advance purchase.

In addition to this, the pharmaceutical companies received 100 million dollars to increase their production capacities, 1 billion dollars in equipment, and 3 billion dollars to hire more manufacturers.

As icing on the cake, around the globe the pharmaceutical companies received carte blanche to bypass many of the rules that must be followed to bring a drug to market, such as the review of failures, much of the need to demonstrate safety and efficacy, the assessment of the risks involved in mass production etc....

This turned the manufacture of vaccines into a 100% safe business without any risk as a venture and that paid for itself in advance, not content with this, the pharmaceutical companies took advantage of the confusion to increase the price of the rest of their portfolios with impunity and even so, they do not want to carry out the technological transfer of the manufacturing process of the covid vaccines to the governments that financed them.

However, Pfizer, for example, earned more than $54 billion in profits in 2021 from Covid vaccines alone. This is more money than it made in profits in all of 2020 with its ENTIRE portfolio... without a doubt the deal of the century....

So... it doesn't take paranoia to think that another pandemic is possible, this time smallpox... that will benefit the powerful, and keep all the rest of us submissive....
I hope I'm wrong... but it doesn't hurt to be prepared...
