Bendiciones y más bendiciones mis amigos lectores y seguidores de las artes manuales. Casi a finales del año pasado visité la casa de mi consuegra y admiré la decoración que tiene con flores, jarrones, y cuadros que hizo con papel. En diciembre decoró con venados, espirales, ángeles, esferas y guirnaldas todas hechas con papel.

Tengo algunos planes con estas técnicas, espero hacerlos; por ahora hay un proyecto en proceso cuyo trabajo lo muestro cuando lo termine. Por el Día de la Amistad les regaló la elaboración de dos adornos en forma de espiral.

Materiales / materials

Papel para hacer los tubitos que ya los expliqué en un post, pega y pintura del color de preferencia.

Proceso / Process

Adorno 1 / Ornament 1

-Para este adorno se usan 3 tubitos o palitos de papel los que se colocan en forma de estrella. Los fui marcando para visualizar mejor el proceso.

-For this ornament, 3 paper tubes or sticks are used, which are placed in the shape of a star. I marked them to better visualize the process.

-El palito marcado con azul sube, dejando dos palitos en el medio. El palito marcado con el verde, es el siguiente que se debe mover. Siempre se deja el primero fijo, sin mover. Entonces decía que tomamos el palito marcado con el verde para pasarlo por encima de los dos tubitos que le siguen.

-The stick marked with blue goes up, leaving two sticks in the middle. The stick marked with green is the next one to be moved. The first one is always left fixed, without moving. Then it said that we take the stick marked with green to pass it over the two tubes that follow.

-Tomamos la estrella por el lugar donde doblamos el palito verde. Al palito marcado con violeta corresponde pasarlo por encima de los dos palitos siguientes y así sucesivamente, siempre agarrando por el doblez para no confundirse.

-Cada palito doblado debe ir colocado apuntando hacia afuera para que abra la figura.

-Al llegar hasta la abertura que deseas, se debe ir cerrando, reduciendo el tejido. Al final queda un pequeño hueco donde introduje una varilla larga para sostener el adorno.

Adorno 2 / Ornament 2

-Para este segundo adorno, necesitamos dos palitos de papel. Medimos 4 dedos aproximadamente y doblamos.

-Comienza el tejido de abajo para arriba, tratando de envolver los dos sobrantes medidos. Pasando uno de los palitos por encima del otro.

-Start weaving from the bottom up, trying to wrap around the two measured leftovers. Passing one of the sticks over the other.

-La operación se repite hasta formar el primer aro.

-The operation is repeated until the first ring is formed.

-Repetimos de manera consecuente hasta arriba, debes ver que se van formado aros alrededor de los dos palitos.

Al llegar arriba, si deseas prolongar el tejido, solamente incorpora otros palitos. Continúa tejiendo hasta donde sea tu deseo. Para terminar el trabajo, puse pega a las varillas para unirlas.

-Repeat consistently up to the top, you should see that rings are formed around the two sticks.

When you reach the top, if you want to extend the weaving, just incorporate other sticks. Continue weaving as far as you wish. To finish the work, I glued the sticks together.

La pintura es opcional; pinté las dos espigas en color gris y pasé pincel seco en azul oscuro y dorado. Los otros dos adornos los pinté de azul oscuro con pincelada seca en dorado. Para dar brillo apliqué un poquito de pega con agua.

The paint is optional; I painted the two dowels in gray and drybrushed in dark blue and gold. The other two ornaments I painted in dark blue with dry brush in gold. To add shine I applied a little bit of glue with water.

Bien este proyecto, está destinado para otro objeto que estoy haciendo pero evité hacer todo en un post porque se haría muy largo. Esos espirales son para decorar jarrones pero también sirven para decorar el arbolito de Navidad, obviamente se debe hacer en forma de colgante.

Well this project is intended for another object I'm making but I avoided doing it all in one post because it would be too long. These spirals are to decorate vases but also serve to decorate the Christmas tree, obviously it must be done in the form of a pendant.

Querida, el tejido me ha encantado, lo podemos aplicar a muchas manualidades, me encantó la forma de espiga que tiene. Queda hermosa en cilindros, tenemos que hacer bastantes para que se vea mas armado y pomposo.
