Recently, I took out of my reading corner, a book that I had been given as a gift a few years ago and that I had not had the opportunity to read. I also tell you that among the works that I mentioned at the beginning of this year that I would start, I have already read "Metamorphosis" and "Piedra de Mar", but I am still missing a book that I started to read last year and that I promised to finish this year to review its analysis, And with that work something very delicate happened to me, that when I took it up again, I got completely lost in the tangle of the context, it is "One Hundred Years of Solitude", so I had to restart it to be able to put together again the whole trajectory of those lives and their connections. That's definitely going to take me a little bit longer.

So I also started reading new bibliographies simultaneously with this one, and that is where I started a few days ago the work "Many lives, many masters" by the psychiatrist and writer, Brian Weiss. But I am going to tell you a little about the writer and the work before I make my analysis and my opinion about its content.

MANY LIVES, MANY MASTERS

🌼 Who is Dr. Brian Weiss?

Inquiring a little about the life and work of the author of the book, the American doctor Brian Weiss, I tell you that he still works as a psychiatrist in the city of Miami, Florida, and has conducted throughout his professional career, a series of investigations and conferences that address issues such as past life regression, progression to future lives, reincarnation, and the survival of the human soul beyond death, one could say that it is something like life after death.

All these themes, of course, have been the preamble to most of his works, since many of them deal with contexts totally linked to psychiatry and the great mystery of the human mind and its complex structure.

🌼 What theme does the work "Many lives, many masters" address?

First of all, it should be mentioned that the context of this work is based on real events. It narrates the experience that Dr. Brian Weiss, a psychiatrist in a hospital in Miami, Florida, had with a patient who had anxiety problems, extreme fears and nightmares that had traumatized her.

The doctor decided to go from the conventional to the extreme by treating the patient with hypnosis therapy, and unexpected events began to manifest themselves. The patient not only retraced the beginning of her own life, but also went back to past lives, and even crossed unknown dimensions beyond death, which surprised the psychiatrist and gave him a radical turn to his life, both personal and professional, when he manifested in the middle of her trance, the presence of people linked to him, who were present at the threshold that the patient had crossed.

The work has a paranormal context but focused from a clinical and therapeutic perspective, only that the study conducted by the doctor gave way to unknown situations and this led him to investigate further to know everything that could be found on that side of matter, mind, life, death, and all the mysteries contained in this conglomerate, somehow unknown.

🌼 Analysis of "Many lives, many masters".

Catherine is a simple girl who works as a laboratory technician in a hospital in Miami, and since some time ago she begins to present traumas, extreme fears of many things, especially of dying. She has recurring dreams about the same people, and nightmares where she sees herself dying. Her anxiety was increasing and in the midst of what she was generating in her daily life, it was suggested to her to treat with the psychiatrist of the same hospital, Dr. Weiss.

Thus Catherine and Dr. Weiss began sessions starting with conventional therapy that did not work, which led the doctor to use hypnosis to address the patient's traumas.

Throughout the therapy, events began to occur that the doctor was unaware of, and that made him delve even deeper into the methodology used, where the regression to Catherine's initial life, then to her past lives, the progression to some future life, and her numerous reincarnations, placed him in an unknown dimension between one life and another where the patient served as a medium for Wise Masters to provide the doctor with relevant information.

This situation was possible thanks to the woman's psychic abilities that neither of them knew she possessed, and that was the key tool to achieve this impressive connection.

In the midst of the hypnosis sessions and the methods used on her, Dr. Weiss was able to learn about Catherine's childhood traumas, how her father abused her as a child, and the different ways of dying in past lives. Therein lay the reason for her fear of death and other traumas that kept her in constant anxiety. She managed to cure herself of all these fears after a large number of hypnosis sessions, and in the last session, the Masters let the doctor know through her that the threshold was now closed and he could not inquire any further by that means.

In this way the psychiatrist, with all the knowledge acquired throughout this therapy, closed the process and continued his research and professional growth on this subject, on his own.

🌼 My opinion about the work

Beyond the nervousness that paranormal subjects may cause me, especially if they are tangible, I have always felt attraction and curiosity towards them because of the mystery they contain.

It is also true that I respect and admire those who are deeply dedicated to work with these situations, since it not only requires a great knowledge in this regard, but also courage and self-confidence, for whatever may arise and knowing how to deal with it.

This book caught my attention when I read that it was about a patient with anxiety, but I did not imagine the depth of its content and as I was reading I was internalizing more in it until I was absorbed and also surprised with everything that was narrated.

In my little knowledge about reincarnation, and that there is life after death, I had some data, but this is stronger. It is the manifestation of what may be causing many disturbances in our present life, and that it has nothing to do with this very life but with a shocked previous life. Even to what extent our present actions will give us eternal rest when we die without having to reincarnate eighty or so more lives as happened to Dr. Weiss' patient.

It is a delicate subject, but really interesting, and I dare to assure that I will continue reading the works of this author where he deals with subjects of the same magnitude. The knowledge acquired through this type of research can help many patients to overcome fears and traumas whose origin is unknown.

Recientemente, extraje de mi rincón de lectura, un libro que me habían obsequiado hace unos años y que no había tenido la oportunidad de leer. Les cuento también, que entre las obras que mencioné a principios de este año que iniciaría, ya lo logré con la obra “Metamorfosis”, y “Piedra de Mar”, pero me falta aún una lectura que comencé a leer el año pasado y que prometí culminar este año para reseñar su análisis, y con esa obra me pasó algo muy delicado, que al retomarla, me perdí completamente en la maraña del contexto, se trata de “Cien años de soledad”, por lo que tuve que reiniciarla para poder armar nuevamente toda la trayectoria de esas vidas y sus conexiones. Eso definitivamente me va a llevar un poco más de tiempo.

Por lo que me dediqué a leer también nuevas bibliografías simultáneamente con ésta, y es allí donde inicié hace unos días la obra “Muchas vidas, muchos maestros” del médico psiquiatra y escritor, Brian Weiss. Pero les voy a hablar un poco del escritor y de la obra antes de realizar mi análisis y mi opinión al respecto de su contenido.

MUCHAS VIDAS, MUCHOS MAESTROS

🌼 ¿Quién es el Dr. Brian Weiss?

Indagando un poco acerca de la vida y obra del autor de la obra, el doctor norteamericano Brian Weiss, les comento que aún se desempeña como médico psiquiatra en la ciudad de Miami, Florida, y ha realizado a lo largo de su trayectoria profesional, una serie de investigaciones y conferencias que abordan temas como la regresión de vidas pasadas, la progresión hacia vidas futuras, la reencarnación, y la supervivencia del alma humana más allá de la muerte, se podría decir que es algo así como la vida después de la muerte.

Todos estos temas, por supuesto, han sido el preámbulo de la mayoría de sus obras, ya que muchas de éstas abordan contextos totalmente vinculados con la psiquiatría y el gran misterio de la mente humana y su compleja estructura.

🌼 ¿Qué tema aborda la obra “Muchas vidas, muchos maestros”?

Ante todo hay que mencionar que el contexto de esta obra está basado en hechos reales. En ésta, se narra la experiencia que el Dr. Brian Weiss, psiquiatra en un hospital de Miami, Florida, experimenta junto a una paciente que presentaba problemas de ansiedad, miedos extremos, y pesadillas, que la tenían traumatizada.

El médico decidió pasar de lo convencional a lo extremo tratando a la paciente con terapia de hipnosis, y comenzaron a manifestarse hechos inesperados. La paciente no sólo recorrió el inicio de su propia vida, sino que se remontó a vidas pasadas, y hasta traspasó dimensiones desconocidas más allá de la muerte que sorprendieron al psiquiatra y le dieron un giro radical a su vida, tanto personal como profesional, al manifestarle en medio de su trance, la presencia de personas vinculadas a él, que se encontraban presentes en el umbral que había traspasado la paciente.

La obra tiene un contexto paranormal pero enfocado desde una perspectiva clínica y terapéutica, únicamente que el estudio realizado por el médico dio paso a situaciones desconocidas y esto lo conllevó a indagar más hasta saber todo lo que podía encontrarse de aquel lado de la materia, la mente, la vida, la muerte, y todos los misterios que encierra este conglomerado, de alguna manera desconocido.

🌼 Análisis de “Muchas vidas, muchos maestros”.

Catherine es una chica sencilla que trabaja como laboratorista en un hospital de Miami, y desde hace un tiempo comienza a presentar traumas, miedos extremos a muchas cosas, sobre todo a morir. Tiene sueños recurrentes con las mismas personas, y pesadillas donde se ve muriendo. Su ansiedad iba en aumento y en medio de lo que estaba generando en su vida cotidiana, le sugirieron tratarse con el psiquiatra del mismo hospital, el Dr. Weiss.

De esta manera Catherine y el Dr. Weiss iniciaron las sesiones comenzando con una terapia convencional que no resultó, lo cual conllevó al médico a usar la hipnosis para abordar los traumas de la paciente.

A lo largo de la terapia, comenzaron a darse eventos que el médico desconocía, y eso lo hizo profundizar más aún en la metodología utilizada, donde la regresión a la vida inicial de Catherine, luego a sus vidas pasadas, la progresión hacia alguna vida futura, y sus numerosas reencarnaciones, lo situaron en una dimensión desconocida entre una vida y otra donde la paciente fungía como médium para que Sabios Maestros le proporcionaran al médico información relevante.

Esta situación fue posible gracias a las habilidades psíquicas de la mujer que ninguno de los dos sabía que poseía, y que fue la herramienta clave para lograr esta impresionante conexión.

En medio de las sesiones de hipnosis y los métodos usados den tro de ella, el Dr. Weiss logró saber cuáles fueron los traumas en la infancia de Catherine, cómo su padre abusaba de ella siendo una niña, y las distintas maneras de morir en vidas pasadas. Ahí radicaba el porqué de su miedo a la muerte y otros traumas que la tenían en constante ansiedad. Ella logró curarse de todos estos miedos después de un gran número de sesiones de hipnosis, y en la última sesión, los Maestros le hicieron saber al doctor a través de ella, que ya el umbral quedaba cerrado y no podía indagar nada más por ese medio.

De esta manera el psiquiatra, con todos los conocimientos adquiridos a lo largo de esta terapia, dio por cerrado el proceso y continuó sus investigaciones y crecimiento profesional acerca de este tema, por su propia cuenta.

🌼 Mi opinión acerca de la obra

Más allá del nerviosismo que me puedan causar los temas paranormales, sobre todo si son de manera tangible, siempre he sentido atracción y curiosidad hacia ellos por el misterio que encierran.

También es cierto, que respeto y admiro a quienes se dedican profundamente a trabajar con estas situaciones ya que no sólo se requiere de un gran conocimiento al respecto, sino de valor y seguridad en sí mismo, para lo que se pueda presentar y saber cómo abordarlo.

Este libro me llamó la atención cuando leí que se trataba de una paciente con ansiedad, pero no imaginé la profundidad de su contenido y a medida que iba leyendo me iba internalizando más en él hasta quedar absorbida y también sorprendida con todo lo que se narraba.

En mi escaso conocimiento acerca de la reencarnación, y de que haya vida después de la muerte, tenía algunos datos, pero esto es más fuerte. Es la manifestación de lo que puede estar provocando muchas alteraciones en nuestra vida presente, y que no tiene nada que ver con esta misma vida sino con una conmocionada vida anterior. Incluso, hasta qué punto nuestras acciones actuales nos darán un descanso eterno al morir sin tener que reencarnar unas ochenta y tantas vidas más como le sucedió a la paciente del Dr. Weiss.

Es un tema delicado, pero realmente interesante, y me atrevería a asegurar que seguiré leyendo las obras de este autor en donde aborda temas de la misma magnitud. El conocimiento adquirido a través de este tipo de investigaciones, puede ayudar a muchos pacientes a superar miedos y traumas cuyo origen se desconoce.
