Writers I want to read before the year ends

Este año ha estado lleno de nuevos descubrimientos literarios y, aunque he leído cosas maravillosas, también me he dado cuenta de que aún tengo pendientes algunos autores que quiero leer antes de que termine el año.

This year has been full of new literary discoveries, and although I have read some wonderful things, I have also realized that there are still some authors I want to read before the year ends.
1. Any Wattpad author/Cualquier autor de Wattpad
Quiero regresar a mi casa, a ese lugar donde me crié… metafóricamente hablando, claro 😅. Siento que tengo mucho tiempo sin leer algo directamente de la plataforma. Y no me refiero a libros que nacieron en Wattpad y luego fueron publicados, sino a esas historias que viven y respiran dentro de la plataforma, escritas con pasión, constancia y mucho corazón. Historias que quizá no tienen grandes campañas editoriales detrás, pero que aun así merecen completamente la pena.
I want to go back home, to the place where I grew up... metaphorically speaking, of course 😅. I feel like it's been a long time since I've read something directly from the platform. And I'm not talking about books that were born on Wattpad and then published, but those stories that live and breathe within the platform, written with passion, perseverance, and a lot of heart. Stories that may not have big publishing campaigns behind them, but are still completely worth reading.
2. Ali Hazelwood
SourceCreo que, si han leído mis reseñas o me han seguido un poco, sabrán que con esta autora no tengo expectativas demasiado altas. He leído dos de sus libros y siento que, en muchos aspectos, repite prácticamente el mismo guion e incluso el mismo tipo de personaje masculino. No es algo que me desagrade del todo, pero sí me incomodó un poco esa sensación de repetición. Aun así, actualmente tiene tantos libros publicados que me da curiosidad saber si ha logrado salir de esa fórmula o si sigue apostando por lo mismo. Quiero darle otra oportunidad y comprobarlo por mí misma.
I think that if you've read my reviews or followed me for a while, you'll know that I don't have very high expectations for this author. I've read two of her books and feel that, in many ways, she repeats practically the same script and even the same type of male character. It's not something I dislike entirely, but I did find that sense of repetition a little uncomfortable. Even so, she currently has so many books published that I'm curious to know if she has managed to break out of that formula or if she's still sticking with the same thing. I want to give her another chance and see for myself.
3. Edgar Allan Poe
SourceEste año he descubierto que disfruto muchísimo los libros de misterio. Me parecen intensos, atrapantes y con una profundidad psicológica increíble. Edgar Allan Poe es un autor del que siempre he escuchado hablar, especialmente por sus relatos de terror psicológico como El corazón delator. Así que, para seguir cultivando este gusto por el misterio y lo oscuro, quiero adentrarme por fin en su obra y descubrir por qué sigue siendo tan relevante hasta hoy.
This year, I discovered that I really enjoy mystery books. I find them intense, captivating, and incredibly psychologically profound. Edgar Allan Poe is an author I've always heard about, especially for his psychological horror stories such as The Tell-Tale Heart. So, to continue cultivating this taste for mystery and darkness, I want to finally delve into his work and discover why it remains so relevant today.
