What do I think about books I haven't read?

Hola querida comunidad de Hive, espero que se encuentren muy bien. Como siempre, es un placer venir por aquí a hablar de lo que tanto nos gusta: los libros. Y es que, seamos sinceros, siempre terminamos “enfiebrándonos” con alguna saga que nos roba el sueño y nos hace querer leer sin parar.

Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are all doing well. As always, it's a pleasure to come here and talk about what we love so much: books. Let's be honest, we always end up getting “feverish” about some saga that robs us of sleep and makes us want to read non-stop.

Hoy —bueno, en realidad desde hace varios días— me han dado muchísimas ganas de retomar la saga de los Bridgerton. Dejé algunos libros pendientes y siento que ya es momento de volver a ese universo lleno de romance, drama y personajes entrañables. Así que aquí quiero contarles qué pienso de los libros que me faltan por leer y qué espero de cada uno.

Today—well, actually for several days now—I've been really eager to pick up the Bridgerton series again. I left some books unfinished, and I feel like it's time to return to that universe full of romance, drama, and endearing characters. So here I want to tell you what I think about the books I have left to read and what I expect from each one.

1. A Sir Phillip, con amor/To Sir Phillip, with love

Este fue el libro donde me quedé. Recuerdo que iba aproximadamente por la mitad de la historia y, sinceramente, me estaba gustando bastante. La dinámica es distinta a otras entregas porque tiene un toque más íntimo y maduro, sobre todo por la presencia de los hijos de Phillip, que aportan una energía completamente diferente a la trama.

This was the book I got stuck on. I remember I was about halfway through the story and, honestly, I was really enjoying it. The dynamic is different from other installments because it has a more intimate and mature feel, especially with the presence of Phillip's children, who bring a completely different energy to the plot.

Además, Eloise se ganó mi cariño a lo largo de los libros anteriores. Siempre ha sido un personaje con mucha personalidad, inteligente y un poco fuera de las expectativas tradicionales de su época. Por eso me parece interesante verla enfrentarse a su propia historia de amor. Tengo muchas ganas de retomarlo para ver cómo evoluciona esa relación y si realmente logra convencerme por completo.

What's more, Eloise won my affection throughout the previous books. She has always been a character with a lot of personality, intelligent and somewhat outside the traditional expectations of her time. That's why I find it interesting to see her face her own love story. I'm really looking forward to picking it up again to see how that relationship evolves and whether it really manages to win me over completely.

2. El corazón de una Bridgerton/The Heart of a Bridgerton

De este libro sé poco, más allá de algunos spoilers inevitables que me han llegado por redes sociales (gracias, internet 😅). No he visto ninguna temporada de la serie, así que mi visión es completamente desde los libros.

I know little about this book, beyond some inevitable spoilers that have reached me through social media (thanks, internet 😅). I haven't seen any season of the series, so my view is entirely based on the books.

Sé que Michael es un personaje masculino muy querido por el fandom, lo que automáticamente me genera expectativas altas. Me intriga mucho la intensidad que dicen que tiene esta historia y el tipo de romance que plantea. Aunque el personaje femenino no ha tenido tanta presencia en los libros que he leído hasta ahora, siento curiosidad por descubrir su profundidad y entender por qué esta entrega es de las favoritas de muchos lectores.

I know Michael is a male character who is very beloved by the fandom, which automatically raises my expectations. I am very intrigued by the intensity that people say this story has and the type of romance it presents. Although the female character has not had much presence in the books I have read so far, I am curious to discover her depth and understand why this installment is a favorite among many readers.

3. Por un beso/For a kiss

La historia de Gregory es probablemente la que más me dejó en shock cuando supe de qué iba. No esperaba encontrar un secuestro en medio de esta saga que, aunque tiene sus momentos dramáticos, suele mantenerse dentro de ciertos esquemas románticos más clásicos.

Sin embargo, justamente por eso me llama la atención. Ya conozco la dinámica general de estos libros: malentendidos, tensión romántica, declaraciones intensas y finales felices. Pero que se atrevan a introducir un elemento tan fuerte me parece interesante. Creo que puede ser una historia bastante entretenida y diferente dentro de la saga.

4. Buscando esposa/Looking for a wife

Este es el último libro de la saga y del que menos información tengo. Sé que la protagonista no es precisamente la más querida por algunos lectores debido a su carácter parlanchín, pero eso no necesariamente es algo negativo para mí. A veces esos personajes terminan sorprendiendo.

This is the last book in the series and the one I have the least information about. I know that the main character is not exactly the most beloved by some readers due to her talkative nature, but that's not necessarily a negative thing for me. Sometimes those characters end up surprising you.

Al ser el cierre de toda la serie, imagino que debe tener un argumento sólido y emotivo. Me emociona pensar en llegar al final y despedirme oficialmente de esta familia que, libro tras libro, se ha sentido como una tradición romántica casi obligatoria para quienes amamos el género.

As it is the conclusion of the entire series, I imagine it must have a solid and emotional storyline. I am excited to reach the end and officially say goodbye to this family that, book after book, has felt like an almost obligatory romantic tradition for those of us who love the genre.

En fin, esto es lo que pienso de los libros que me quedan por leer de la serie. Retomar los Bridgerton es como volver a una zona cómoda, a ese romance clásico que sabes que te va a hacer suspirar.

Anyway, that's what I think about the books I have left to read in the series. Returning to the Bridgertons is like coming back to a comfort zone, to that classic romance that you know will make you sigh.
