Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are doing well. Today I want to tell you about a new story I read from two writers that I've been looking forward to, I'm talking about Iria G. Parente and Selene M. Pascual who are the writers of the book "Seremos el Huracán" (We will be the Hurricane).
La verdad yo de ellas he tenido muchas ganas de leer “Pétalos de Papel” quien tiene una portada muy chula pero cuando supe que sacarían un proyecto relacionado con una Boy band y el mago de oz, yo las seguía en instagram desde hace tiempo y al poner las postales y publicidad de este libro me animo a leerla. No es tan larga pero cuenta con varias páginas. La historia como tal se centra en dos hermanos Dorothy y Theo Gale dos hermanos mellizos quienes tenían el sueño de ser estrellas de la música, se presentaban a conciertos juntos y siempre su mentalidad era con que iban arrasar con todo como un huracán, un día desafortunadamente el hermano mellizo Theo muere, dejando una Dorothy completamente destruida…pasan los días y una agencia llamada Esmerad Music quiere a su hermano para que forme parta de una boy band llamada WIZARD, como él está muerto y ella le parece tan injusto que le ofrezcan una oportunidad así estando en el otro mundo, decide pasarse por él ¿Qué podría salir mal?
The truth is that I really wanted to read "Pétalos de Papel" which has a very cool cover but when I heard that they would release a project related to a Boy band and the wizard of oz, I had been following them on instagram for some time and when they put the postcards and publicity of this book I was encouraged to read it. It's not that long but it has several pages. The story as such focuses on two siblings Dorothy and Theo Gale two twin brothers who had the dream of being music stars, they performed at concerts together and always their mentality was with that they were going to sweep through everything like a hurricane, one day unfortunately the twin brother Theo dies, leaving a Dorothy completely destroyed.... Days go by and an agency called Esmerad Music wants her brother to be part of a boy band called WIZARD, as he is dead and she finds it so unfair to be offered such an opportunity being in the other world, she decides to go for him, what could go wrong?
FuenteLa verdad, yo tengo un gusto culposo por las Boy Band, me gustan mucho y poder leer de alguna me llamaba la atención, algo que si puedo decir que muestra como en realidad se forma un grupo y como este ámbito es tan competido, como es la industria musical he incluso como tratan a los artista y a los aspirantes a hacerlo, es interesante ver cómo era la convivencia de todos como tal, porque en el transcurso e la historia hacían cosas que normalmente haría un grupo, lo interesante de esto es que este grupo como tal es una prueba y vemos como esto se maneja en la industria de forma cruel ya que incluso están compitiendo con otra banda en formación a ver cuál de las dos queda como una banda consolidada en la disquera.
The truth, I have a guilty taste for the Boy Band, I like them a lot and being able to read about one of them called my attention, something that I can say that shows how a group is actually formed and how this field is so competitive, how the music industry is and even how they treat the artists and aspiring artists, it is interesting to see how they all lived together as such, because in the course of the story they did things that normally a group would do, the interesting thing about this is that this group as such is a test and we see how this is handled in the industry in a cruel way as they are even competing with another band in formation to see which of the two is a consolidated band in the label.
FuenteCuando comencé a leer la historia creía que solo íbamos a tener la perspectiva de Dorothy pero nos sorprendemos a que como son cuatro tres integrantes mal, Raven, Leo y Valentín quienes son los otros integrantes y cada uno tiene su propia perspectiva (y problemas) entre ellos podemos ver interacciones y como poco a poco se van convirtiendo en una familia y una banda como tal así como a su vez cosas que pasan en la historia no diré cuales son pero si son fanáticas del romance y el BL deberían leer esta historia ;).
When I started reading the story I thought we were only going to have Dorothy's perspective but we are surprised to see that as there are four three members bad, Raven, Leo and Valentin who are the other members and each one has their own perspective (and problems) between them we can see interactions and how little by little they are becoming a family and a band as such as well as things that happen in the story I won't say what they are but if you are fans of romance and BL you should read this story ;).
FuenteNo diré que tiene puntos negativos, porque la verdad fue una pasada leerme esta historia, tú te diviertes con las interacciones entre ellos, yo me morí de la risa con muchos diálogos además de que el libro como tal cuenta con unas ilustraciones demasiados bonitas y también detalles como que tienes partes que parecen como comentarios de redes sociales con las cuales me identifique porque había todo tipo de comentarios cosa que en la vida real existe mucho en los fandoms.
I won't say it has negative points, because the truth is that this story was a blast to read, you have fun with the interactions between them, I died laughing with many dialogues and the book as such has too many beautiful illustrations and also details like that you have parts that look like social network comments with which I identified because there were all kinds of comments something that in real life exists a lot in the fandoms.
FuenteLa verdad si me pongo a pensar creo que la que a veces me desesperaba era Dorothy es por el hecho de que creo que era un poco ilusa, en muchas escenas pero también considero que era parte de su duelo y su manera un tanto extrema de querer aferrarse a su hermano por ello creo que si uno está pasando por un duelo o ha pasado por uno muchas palabras te quedan en tu corazón de una manera bastante melancólica, por otro lado todos los personajes tienen sus diferentes luchas las cuales van superando a lo largo de la historia, teniendo un final bastante decente porque no la tuvieron fácil y de decir que con la última escena si llore bastante porque representa muchas cosas.
The truth is that if I think about it, I think the one that sometimes made me despair was Dorothy because I think she was a little delusional in many scenes, but I also think it was part of her grief and her extreme way of wanting to hold on to her brother, so I think that if you are going through a grief or have gone through one, many words remain in your heart in a very melancholic way, On the other hand all the characters have their different struggles which they overcome throughout the story, having a pretty decent ending because they did not have it easy and I must say that with the last scene I cried a lot because it represents many things.
