Who is the good girl? I'm a good girl! 😊
And also fast and patient 😁

Hello our dear friends! Actually, today I was planning to have a rest. Saturday is my only day when I can relax. I myself determined this, because once I realized that if I do not allow myself to rest at least once a week, I will simply go crazy, because I spend with my animals and birds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

But even on Saturday I have a minimum program - to feed everyone! And so, when I brought food to the ferret Felicia, I found that the aviary was empty! She made a hole below and fled. OK. We take a deep breath and ... and scream "horror-horror-horror!" because a ferret that has escaped into the wild means that now it will go hunting all over the yard ...😱

Luckily, Felicia grew up in captivity. She came to us as a tiny puppy because her mother died. Therefore, having got out of the enclosure, she herself was frightened of her own courage.

She hid under the aviary, where I found her. All is well, but there is one thing ... Felicia is not a tame ferret ... and she can bite painfully. There was no question of pulling her out from under the enclosure ...

What to do? πŸ€”

In the hope that she was hungry, I put some meat in her aviary and pretended not to pay attention to her and just sweep the yard. I hoped that hunger would make her return to the aviary. But it was not there! Instead, she started hunting me and my broom! 😁😁😁

Jumping away from her like a young kangaroo, I frantically figured out how to solve this problem ...🦘

Suddenly it dawned on me! Every time I bring food for her, I run my hand over the mesh of the aviary to invite her to dinner. The ritual is always the same: I call her, she enters a special small cage, I close it, open the enclosure, leave the meat, close the enclosure, open the cage. It works like this:

This was my last hope ... I went to the aviary and ran my hand along the grate. Felicia reacted immediately to the sound and ran into the cage!

It was a victory! Of course, I should have thought of this faster. But on the other hand, while I was thinking, I managed to sweep half of the yard 😁

What a miracle!) Does the cage have enough space?

Of course! She has a large aviary, since she is destined to spend her life with us. It can move freely both vertically and horizontally, and has a burrow. We specially built it for her last year. The cage is only part of the enclosure, so that I can safely clean up or leave food there.
