The surf beach across the road is a busy one with lots of Christmas/New Year visitors having holiday fun. During the summer months I particularly like walking in the picture perfect and the refreshingly cool breezy beach. I am currently an afternoon walker only because of late I can't seem to get up for the 4:44am catch the sunrise moment. Maybe I will surprise myself and get up early one morning!
Yesterday it was Wednesday and I like to make sure I walk as it is @tattoodjay's get out and go for a #Wednesdaywalk. My incentive is capturing a photo or two to share. I find that they always seem to appear as I walk along the beach.
And they did!
Although I had very little time to take this photo and it was snapped quickly with the iPhone I am happy with the effect of the reflections of the man and his dog in the wet sand.
I found the quiet relaxing all the time in the world particularly appealing on the beach this week. One of the reasons I like joining in with the holiday makers.
This let's check out the foam created by the very choppy rough surf typified the inquisitiveness of people. It seemed be too irresistible not to walk in it. I've done it many times!
Cyclone Seth has been making its presence felt along the coast in South East Queensland. No entering the water sign was up for a couple of days.
Looking up was an unexpected special treat for me on my #Wednesdaywalk, I saw an Osprey sea hawk gliding around for what seemed to be ages over the sand and the edge of the water. It gave me the opportunity to snap as much as I could to capture its photograph. I consider myself a hopeless bird photographer but this time I managed to snare a couple of reasonable shots of this hawk for once. It was the highlight of my walk.

Unfortunately this sea hawk did not find any dinner to take home.

Today as I write my post heavy rain has been falling which unfortunately has temporarily put a hold on happy beach action. I hope that it is fine sunny weather in a day or two so visitors are able to continue their feel good beach holiday. Remembering my past family beach holidays I know how disappointing it is when a vacation is rained upon.
ooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo

The lifesavers had a very quiet couple of days standing guard when everyone was barred from going into the dangerous rough surf.
All the photos were taken my me on my iPhone>

I hope the rain clears and you can revisit the beach
That first shot of the man and dog and the reflections is awesome and how cool to see the osprey
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
