Inexplicably deep within my mind colourful images of passion started forming from tightly tucked away feelings and memories, when I first read a post written by @dswigle. It is a post that filled my mind with lots of thoughts and emotions.
This is what I love about Hive, it is a social platform filled with so many wonderful fellow bloggers who are not only friends but are also clever thinkers and writers connecting and influencing each other.
Ever since @dswigle's post What are you Passionate About?, I have been busy reflecting on my life's explorations, adventures, interests, likes and ultimately my passions, drawing them into my consciousness, grabbing the idea with open arms. It has been a happy rewarding process, one of quiet deliberation filtering through what is motivating, interesting and passionate.
When a young adult I loved adventuring, always ready and willing to explore around corners and new places, willing to take some risks. Of course, once a family came along I had to reign in my carefree adventurous spirit. Maturity and sensibility had to take over.
A passion to me is an emotional intensity, a zeal or fervour, a fire in the belly.......
.....like a mother's fierce intensity to love, protect and nurture forever her children from childhood into adulthood into parenthood. No matter how old they become the love is forever there. Unconditional love, as beautiful and miraculous as all flowers are, especially when gifted with love. Flowers are a pure expression of love.
........like my work a lifetime long ago, when in schools a passion burned in me helping children with learning, helping parents and teachers to understand different learning styles. Making a positive difference in schools mattered, every child mattered where I always worked toward a positive future.
........like my lifetime of love for walking, a love starting as a young school kid stepping 3 kilometres to and from school everyday. Now in my silver years of retirement it has grown into a passion for exercise, health and fitness. A continuing passion fulfilled with walking now on the sublimely forever and entertaining changing surf beach.
I love it when the blue of the sea meets the blue in the cloud and sky. Every beach and ocean walk is different, I am never bored.
Giving and receiving is the basis of friendship and getting along. A sincere heartfelt welcome, a kind invitation extended to one or more to take a seat at the table, to eat, drink and be merry. This is a blessed secret of kindness. Understanding and accepting is the key, remembering that everyone feels the same, to be loved, to be heard, included and respected, is based on the theory that there is always room for one more at the table.
Taking flowers is a gesture of giving and goodwill, from me who has always loved flowers.
Make the most of your life, it goes very quickly, it is over in a blink of an eye. Be passionate, be loving and have fun.
