April Garden Journal
The rainfall has begun to thin, and it's time for me to start filling my garden with a variety of vegetables.

Some plants I've just sown. Others are plants I've already planted. They're now mature and nearing harvest.

Come with me to see what plants I have in my small garden in front of my rented house.

In the raised bed at the front of the house, I've just transplanted a bitter melon plant and a string bean plant.

I'm using a companion planting system for both the bitter melon and the string bean plants, so I've created a trellis for both plants.

In the same raised bed, I also still have two tall chili plants. They're almost a year old and still bearing fruit.

Furthermore, below, above the gutter, which I've covered with bamboo slats, I've just planted marigolds. I've recently transplanted several potted marigold plants into pots where I've sown them from seed.
Meanwhile, two potted marigolds are already flowering.

I also just transplanted two-colored Chinese spinach seedlings into polybags. It rained heavily a few weeks ago, so I had to transplant the spinach in a safer location first to avoid damage.

On the other hand, I have curly chili plants planted in white polybags. They're bearing fruit abundantly and will soon be harvested when the curly chilies change from green to red.

In the back, I have several cabbage plants growing well alongside basil plants. The cabbage plants are completely pesticide-free, as I planted basil.
I also planted ginger from kitchen scraps that had sprouts. It's been a month since I started growing those sprouts, and they've grown into lush, green ginger leaves.

Soon, I'll be transplanting these ginger plants into a raised bed.
Meanwhile, there are other plant seedlings that haven't been transplanted yet.
There are red onion seedlings. They're still two weeks old.

I regularly expose them to the morning sun to keep them healthy.

There are tomato seedlings that will be ready to be transplanted in a few days. ❤️ Well, happy gardening!

Ohooo, they're looking fine and healthy now. Love how neatly and organized everything are. And soon you'll get to harvest some of them, i'm sure you're also excited now 💃. Mama always feel that way even though she can only harvest one haha, she's so happy yesterday that she can finally harvest one eggplant. Lol. Anyways, it really shows how much time and love you poured on every plant. They really look pretty and healthy.
Yeah as gardener, super excited but not only when harvesting, but every day when the plants look great ehehe
Wah senangnyaaa! Kebunnya ijo royo-royo! Semoga cuaca mendukung sampai panen!
Skrng sudah mulai panas. Harus rajin siram selebihnya aman ehehe
Good morning, dear friend @anggreklestari
I always admire the great work you do in your garden; your plants look beautiful.
I wish you much success with your transplants.
Have a wonderful day.
Wow! Wonderful garden, I amazed with your cabbage. So healthy and growing!
You and your family will be eating fresh and unadulterated vegetables, something that I always wanted. These must have cost you plenty of time.
Thanks for sharing
What a lovely and lively post. I really enjoyed seeing how you are taking advantage of the change in season to fill your garden with vegetables and flowers, caring for each plant with so much dedication. It is clear that you put a lot of love and attention into your little green space, and that makes everything feel even more special. I found the variety of plants in your garden very interesting, from the chilies and cabbage to the ginger, tomatoes, and onions. The marigolds must also add such a beautiful touch to the garden. I also really liked that you shared details such as using a trellis and transplanting the plants to protect them from heavy rain, because it shows both experience and genuine love for gardening. Thank you for sharing this beautiful and inspiring corner of your home. I wish you an abundant harvest and happy gardening.
Your garden is looking amazing already, so fresh and full of life. Seeing the growth of those vegetables is really beautiful. And Wow, cabbage plants! I have been eating cabbage all my life but have never seen how it is cultivated. This is actually my first time of seeing them like this, and I must confess, they are truly impressive. Weldon, you are doing a great job.
So so nice to have such a wonderful land space! My kampung house had that, but now no more.
