I want to share with you this experience of planting a banano at the school where my mother works. This way we can learn how to plant. In the school, there are already several banano plants so we are just waiting for them to bear fruit. Today I want to show you the process and explain.
We take from a son of the banana cambur bush, we open a hole of approximately 15 centimeters and we plant the son. We put enough fertilizer and once the child is planted, we water it every day until it reaches its growth and production cycle.
| How long does it take for a cambur plant to bear fruit?
After sowing, the child of the banana tree already becomes a plant. It takes about 9 to 12 months to grow and bear the first fruits. It is important to plant it preferably in a tropical zone or warm climate as it is also important to prune the banana tree after the harvests. Then the mother plant dies. But around the base, there are many children or small baby plants that we can plant and so the cycle begins.
The cambur is one of my favorite fruits, so when I saw how they were planting this plant I was amazed at how great nature is. In some countries, they call it plantain or banana but in Venezuela we know it as cambur. I hope you liked it, see you in the next post! .
