[ENG|ESP] Tomando nuevos retos para este 2022 | Taking on new challenges for 2022

¡Hola querida comunidad de Hive! Espero hayan tenido un fin de semana muy agradable. Les comento que siento que he iniciado con buen pie este 2022 enfrentándome a nuevos retos. Aquí en Venezuela y en varios países tenemos la costumbre de celebrar el 6 de enero el día de los Reyes Magos y en caso de no hacerlo asistimos a su respectiva misa. Les confieso que aunque pertenezco a la religión católica y creo fielmente en Dios y la Virgen Maria, no soy una persona de ir constantemente a misa, sin embargo, una vecina nos invitó a mi mamá y a mi a asistir a la misa de los Reyes Magos y nos animamos a ir ¿Por qué no?

Hello dear Hive community! I hope you had a nice weekend. I feel that I have started off on the right foot this 2022 facing new challenges. Here in Venezuela and in several countries we have the custom of celebrating on January 6th the day of the Three Wise Men and in case we don't do it we attend their respective mass. I confess that although I belong to the Catholic religion and I faithfully believe in God and the Virgin Mary, I am not a person who constantly goes to mass, however, a neighbor invited my mom and me to attend the mass of the Three Kings and we were encouraged to go, why not?

Ese día, en la misa, el padre hizo un llamado a los jóvenes para participar en una obra que se realizaría por el día de reyes para la misa dominical, así que me animé y decidí participar. La misa del 6 de enero fue un día jueves y nos mandaron a ir a ensayar el viernes para el domingo actuar, es decir que teníamos dos días para practicar nada más. Había que trabajar fuerte.

That day, at mass, Father called on the young people to participate in a play that would be performed for the Sunday mass on Christmas Day, so I was encouraged and decided to participate. The mass on January 6 was on a Thursday and we were sent to rehearse on Friday to perform on Sunday, so we had two days to practice. We had to work hard.

Comenzaron los ensayos y la verdad me sentí algo nerviosa. Resulta que había que hacer un baile y yo tenía mucho tiempo que no aprendía coreografias, recé porque fuera algo sencillo porque presentía que yo no me podría aprender bailes complicados. Aunque realmente todo fluyó muy bien.

The rehearsals began and the truth is that I felt a little nervous. It turns out that we had to do a dance and I had not learned choreography for a long time, I prayed that it would be something simple because I felt that I could not learn complicated dances. Although everything really flowed very well.

Nos tenían ensayando arduamente desde la mañana. El día jueves estuvimos desde las 9 a.m hasta las 6 p.m repitiendo cada mínimo detalle, organizando la entrada en escena y demás. Por suerte yo vivía cerca y en la hora de almuerzo podía ir para luego regresar rápidamente y seguir ensayando.

They had us rehearsing hard since the morning. On Thursday we were from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. repeating every little detail, organizing the entrance on stage and so on. Luckily I lived nearby and at lunchtime I could go and then hurry back and continue rehearsing.

Tuve que ir a mi casa y comer súper rápido para regresar a los ensayos y continuar perfeccionando todo.

I had to go home and eat super fast to get back to rehearsals and continue perfecting everything.

Ya el día del espectáculo se sentía la presión jaja. Nos habían avisado que saldríamos a escena aproximadamente a las 9 o 10 cuando finalizara la misa.

Already on the day of the show we felt the pressure haha. We had been told that we would go on stage at approximately 9 or 10 o'clock when the mass was over.

Debía subir esta foto porque me pareció demasiado tierno como el bebé, quien iba a interpretar al niño Jesús, se mantuvo en su papel todo el dia, durmiendo durante el torbellino de la preparación y en la obra. Ese bebé sería un gran actor jajaja. Exelente niño Jesús.

I had to upload this picture because I thought it was too cute how the baby, who was going to play the baby Jesus, stayed in his role all day, sleeping through the whirlwind of preparation and in the play. That baby would make a great actor hahaha. Excellent baby Jesus.

La verdad fue que es una de las experiencias más bonitas que he tenido. Me gustó muchísimo participar en este baile y formar parte de un grupo.

The truth was that it was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. I really enjoyed participating in this dance and being part of a group.

El baile consistía en la visita de los Reyes Magos al niño Jesús y con ellos llegaban personas de distintos continentes para conocer a quien sería el Mesías.

The dance consisted of the visit of the Magi to the baby Jesus and with them came people from different continents to meet the one who would be the Messiah.

Y lo más bonito de todo es que al finalizar sería la entrega de los regalos para los niños. Que debo decir, fue algo increíble.

And the nicest thing of all is that at the end of the event was the delivery of gifts for the children. Which I must say, was something incredible.

Este año quiero proponerme salir de mi zona de confort y siento que esta fue una gran oportunidad para ello, además que me sentí muy bien conmigo misma y más conectada a mi y a Dios en lo espiritual.

No está mal hacer cosas nuevas; a veces uno se cohibe pensando en lo que dirían los demás pero lo cierto es que mientras sea algo que te hará bien y aporte algo en tu vida no se debe dejar que nadie se interporga en lo que uno realmente desea. Se feliz, sal de tu zona de confort, pon ante ti nuevos retos y verás que cuando los logres te sentirás sumamente pleno. Salir de vez en cuando de la rutina nos hace más felices.

This year I want to propose to get out of my comfort zone and I feel that this was a great opportunity to do so, plus I felt very good with myself and more connected to me and to God spiritually.

It is not bad to do new things; sometimes you get self-conscious thinking about what others would say but the truth is that as long as it is something that will do you good and contribute something in your life you should not let anyone interfere in what you really want. Be happy, get out of your comfort zone, put before you new challenges and you will see that when you achieve them you will feel extremely fulfilled. Getting out of the routine from time to time makes us happier.
