What Are You Thankful for Today?

GRATITUDE

It was never written. It was always verbal. Which tends to be forgotten at times. But people who received it and have heard it, warms their heart and brightens up their tedious day.

It was always verbal.

But I always meant and give value to all my gratitude. But there was one thing I always wanted to try:

To write it down.

It was either I was too lazy or I'm just too bitter and depressed to write about what I thank for in a day. The amount of negativity was mainly being magnified more than the positive ones. And that's just how it went for years...and years...and years...

Till I discovered an app called "Presently"

I just stumbled across this app unknowingly because I was casually scrolling down apps from Play Store and thought: "Hey, this is interesting, Imma check it out."

This was one of those apps that I was really happy to download for.

I don't know if the app is available on Apple but for sure it is hella available on Android. It is also free. Lemme know though if its available on Apple :)

So here is the overview of the app. Once you open the app, this is what you instantly see. It comprises days and the overview of your gratitude on that specific day.

It didn't matter to me if the thing I was thankful for was so small and insignificant. I was really just thankful that it happened. Like how I finished doing my laundry :)

And yes, I have wrote this on my mother tongue. Nyahaha. Shoutout to all bisaya hive bloggers there. Chill lang ta yotch. HAHA

Once you click a specific date, which is blank, this is what you see. It asks you, "Today I am grateful for" or if you skipped a day, it will ask, "What were you grateful for yesterday?".

I always keep them on track. So its either I write for today or I write for yesterday. Why? Its much better to write down your gratitude on that exact day and on that exact moment so you'll know and remember what really happened and what you are or were really thankful for :)

Next, you got its settings. These are some of its settings. The remaining stuff below are for Backup & Restore and App Information. (which is not quite important to share. lol)

You can set a reminder on when you want to write on the app.
You can choose a theme.
You can choose how many sentences on your written gratitude would appear when you open the app.
You can get daily inspirational quotes! (personal fave)
You can change what kind of date style you want it to look.
And so on and forth...

These are just some of its themes. They have plenty of it below but I wasn't able to screenshot everything. lol

They are very cute and very minimalistic, which I really like.

At the bottom of the blank page, it will randomly give you quotes about gratitude. It was so nice and refreshing, and even motivating to read them while writing or composing your written gratitude on the app.

And oh my god, If I haven't written about a blog for this app now, I wouldn't know or even notice this feature!

If you click that lightbulb on the lower left of the blank page, it will randomly give you questions on the blank page itself.

See that "Who is someone that has mentored you?", that's where you'll find it. If you look closely to the previous pictures above, it always and only asks: "What were you grateful for?". So if you click the little lightbulb, it asks a different question! AMAZING. 😂

When you go back to the timeline, there's a mini calendar on the lower right of it. Click it and it will open a mini calendar. You can click and choose any of the dates in it and it will redirect you to that date and let you see its contents.

Or, my other personal fave, you can click "random" on the lower right corner of the calendar and it will randomly redirect you to a certain random date and let you read its contents.

Which I think is good because it surprisingly lets you reminisce that moment on what things you were grateful for on that day :)

After finishing a 5 day gratitude, the app congratulates me on completing 5 days of writing gratitude! 😁 It was so cute.

Overall, the app was amazing. I find it very useful, especially to those who suffer depression because it lets you remind things you were thankful for. It also lets you exercise on how to be grateful or think about the things you were grateful for.

It calms me down, it keeps my feet on the ground, and it makes me realize that, despite all the ugly things that is happening in our lives, there are still things we are all should be thankful for. Be it a small insignificant thing or a big significant thing. It doesn't matter.

I encourage you guys to try using the app :) This is not sponsored on any way! I just really stumbled across this app on Play Store and saw how amazing it really was when I tried using it on a daily basis.

Well, that's it! :)

What are you thankful for today?
