We Venezuelans are going through extremely difficult times, we look sadly around the devastated country that years of "revolution" have left us, going to a supermarket and seeing the face of this anguished, tired old woman queuing for food made me think so many things and if it is really worth staying in a country where nothing works and where we are all humiliated day after day.

We are going through a situation in which I personally have had to skip a meal, open the fridge and get nothing, feeling devastated and sad is the least that goes through our heads, a set of feelings of desperation and anguish, money is not really enough , those pleasures that we once managed to give each other are things of the past and no longer exist, how many times have I felt provoked by something simple like ice cream and I have avoided it because the money that I accumulate with great effort is to help with the food in my home, and I am sure that thousands of Venezuelans are going through this and even worse situations.

Due to an issue of transportation malfunction in my country I usually walk a lot, like most citizens, when I walk I have managed to see situations that tear your heart out, people looking in garbage containers for something to eat, leftovers; but after all food.

The revolution starves you

For me it is very difficult to talk about this without making me immensely sad, let's say that my family is of medium resources, and even so we see each other on dark and difficult days to meet the 3 necessary meals, I can see how members of my family who before they had a lot of weight they have been losing it, this is seen much more in older adults and it is a situation that breaks your heart, and this is why so many have decided to go abroad to try, to help their relatives with remittances .

The situation of the middle class is that now we are poor, and the poor are even poorer, this class, people who live in neighborhoods; People with very limited resources are the ones who spend days without trying a morsel of food, they are the ones that the revolution is killing, from the bowels of their mothers they already come with malnutrition. Now I wonder how many Venezuelans must die of hunger or insecurity in Venezuela for there to be a foreign intervention? they are passing on human rights, sometimes I think that the organizations that decide everything are full of bureaucracy, and that is that they only seek to improve their own interests, but in the meantime we are struggling to survive.

I write from my personal experience, of course there are people who are in a situation of extreme poverty, and it fills me with hatred not being able to do anything because the little I achieve is to help my family, even professionals who have been practicing for years do not reaches his living wage, we are literally surviving.

I want to explain in figures what is happening but it is so crazy that I don't know if they can understand me, the minimum wage in my country is $1 a month, and a kilo of meat costs about $3-5, that is, if you work for a month you can't eat meat, it's complicated, and many will ask me, how do we survive? By doing magic I will answer, well, I don't know if this is called living, the truth is that I have helped myself with cryptocurrencies, even though I don't I have a large investment in it because I am starting, at the end of December and the beginning of January I managed to cover many expenses thanks to this type of platform, but as you can see this is a market with many variations and right now I practically do not make much profit from it.

What does an average Venezuelan eat a day?

I write for myself, to tell you a little about the diet that we Venezuelans are following, although I know that many have gone to bed without having eaten anything all day, and I know because I have heard it, because I have seen it, generally a diet should be based on about 5 meals a day between meals and snacks, for Venezuelans we have been reduced to two or zero per day, this is a reality that very few know and I am here to tell you what we are experiencing, I think that since I started On the platform I have always shown the reality in #Venezuela, the good and the bad. Now, a daily diet in the region where I live (Tachira) is more or less this: Breakfast possibly an arepa [See Arepa](https://www.google.co.ve/search?q=arepa&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa =X&ved=0ahUKEwiK943XzvTbAhVNt1MKHYnTAMsQ_AUICigB&biw=1280&bih=694#imgrc=9agMlEDmxrd-bM:) but forget about the stuffing, this one could be stuffed with anything, cheese, ham, meats, etc; Today a luxury is that it has a little butter, coffee is something that was forgotten for many because its cost is high, we have had to improvise, it can be some orange or lemon juice or even not having anything for breakfast, lunch; remember the pavilion? See Pabellon one of the favorite foods of Venezuelans today is Impossible, a kilo of rice costs approximately 2$, meat 4$, beans 2$ and the banana if it has a low cost, to what I am going, many of us have had lunch only the banana with an egg or a little rice and this having access to products, regarding dinner, we are going to forget about a sandwich, we could eat the sandwich bread but with an egg, as you can see, a diet low in protein, very low in vitamins, is too sad, too frustrating, but it is reality.

This is writing for me, which has touched me many days, we have even adapted a diet of food twice a day, being lucky, the luck that not many that we see on the street have, old people begging for food, many beggars, many children in places asking for food, already in #venezuela nobody asks for money, money here is worth nothing, people ask for food and it's really very sad because we all know that being just a little hungry is a very ugly feeling, now spending days without try something to eat is to go crazy.

The rich country that once existed is covered in ashes, a revolution that only came to take away and destroy everything that served, the rich country, of oil, of opportunities ceased to exist, it is no more, I am 26 years old and this revolution is 20 years old, I never knew the real Venezuela, it is true that the first years the crisis never felt as acute as it is now, I wonder how long a country in ruins is capable of sustaining itself?, how much is a people capable of supporting hungry?, what is the purpose of killing citizens?, I fill my head with unanswered questions, while I see thousands of Venezuelans suffering, dying of hunger, due to lack of medicine and insecurity.

The Chronicles of Cuba

The Cuban recipe was applied in Venezuela, a country run by people who were and are manipulated by dictators who have been able to keep a people starving, in ruins only for power, for money, full of hate and resentment, countries who trusted in people who today clothe both nations in misery and decided, I ask and pray every day for this torture to end, and for the guilty to pay for everything they have done, for everything they have killed and stolen, I dream that it will no longer be 20 years of revolution, I dream of the day when all Venezuelans who have not had luck abroad return to their country happy and not as a defeat, I dream because freedom and truth win and my energies have been focusing on this, because it is not fair that we have to leave in order to live, because it is not fair that we have to leave, when the only ones who should leave are them.
