One, Two, Three... - We Have It All!

avatar

First, coronavirus, then the earthquake hit and continued shaking us for the following month or so with over 1,000 smaller hits, and now - last week the flood.

The streets of the capital city, especially in the core center, became rivers.

Just about when we thought we had it all came additional severe weather with the thunderstorm all over the country.

The strong wind in the form of cyclone that in some areas exceeded the speed of 150 km (about 100 miles) per hour blew off the roofs, felled trees, and uprooted them was accompanied by the hail, firstly walnut size and then in the size of an apple.

Could it be worse?

Probably yes, but we don't want to find out what it might be and how does it look like.

We already feel we had it enough, and we had it all. It's time to stop!

But the life must go on.
Its literally the going gets tough situation.
And we must toughen up.

Well, I wouldn't say that life must go on, but the truth is that somehow by some default, life usually goes on. But life would also go on even if or when we wouldn't be around.

I can agree with you that the going (most often) gets us through tough situations, but it's not always the case. I have seen or been through situations when the going is not the option. In such paralyzed state one would need someone else to push it or pull it out. Sometimes we push and pull others to help them get out of the situation and start moving again while some other times some others would push and pull us.

In that sense, and from my point of view, there is nothing in life what would be "the must" (including toughen up), except one thing - death. That's the only thing we all must (one day) and can't escape it. All the rest in life is optional.

Besides that, the perspective about life that must go on, the will and energy for going to get through tough situations or even toughen up, quite differs at the age of 20 or 30, from the perspective at the age of 50, 70 or even at higher age.

Not to mention, how those perspectives may differ (regardless the age) in between a person who through past time already accumulated quite amount of such tough experiences and tested numerous tough situations from the other one who encountered it for the first time or even maybe never, but just overheard about it through some news or someone else's story.

In all of these we (all my family) were so lucky. We truly feel blessed by God and spared. Although, it's not easy when all of it is happening around you, most often entirely powerless. Those few small things we can do here and there to help others less lucky are just small drops in the ocean, and that's frustrating as well.

However, I also hope, believe and pray, all of these would stop soon!
