Artistic Make up: My Sky

Si buscas libertad mirá al cielo, es infinito, único, ligero, lleno de vida y movimiento. Es como una manta inmensa y acolchada que nos resguarda todo el tiempo. Hoy tomé una parte de mi cielo, de sus destellos, y lo quise compartir con ustedes en un maquillaje.

If you are looking for freedom, look to the sky, it is infinite, unique, light, full of life and movement. It is like a huge quilted blanket that protects us all the time. Today I took a part of my sky, of its sparkles, and I wanted to share it with you in a make-up.

Proceso | Process

Se inicia hidratando el rostro y aplicando una base de maquillaje compacta. Seguido con lápiz delineador blanco dibujé en ambas mejillas dónde estarían las nubes de mi cielo.

I started by moisturizing the face and applying a compact foundation. Then with a white eyeliner pencil I drew on both cheeks where the clouds of my sky would be.

Ahora, con sombra azul oscuro maquillé el resto de la piel hasta las sienes. Con maquillaje en crema azul rey fui aplicando en forma de "V" hacía los ojos y luego difuminé, para repetir el procedimiento seguidamente con azul celeste.

Now, with dark blue shadow I made up the rest of the skin up to the temples. With royal blue cream foundation I applied in a "V" shape towards the eyes and then blended, repeating the procedure with light blue.

Como todo proceso creativo tiene la libertad de cambiar, y la verdad sentía que no estaba logrando lo que quería porque me sentía Violeta, en la película "Charlie y la Fábrica de Chocolates", opté por realizar unos cortes y eliminar el centro, esto se puede realizar desde el inicio usando una cinta adhesiva.

As every creative process has the freedom to change, and the truth was that I felt I was not achieving what I wanted because I felt Violet, in the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", I opted to make some cuts and eliminate the center, this can be done from the beginning using an adhesive tape.

Seguido, maquillé las nubes con una brochita plana, dando toquecitos lo que permite se vea esponjoso y de forma irregular como son las nubes. Inicié con maquillaje en crema blanco, en algunas zonas aproveché de difuminar mezclando con el azul de base, luego apliqué color gris y en la zona que tendría menos luz maquillé con un gris oscuro. Usé un poquito de azul rey difuminando para dar profundidad entre las áreas más claras de las nubes.

Next, I made up the clouds with a flat brush, giving small touches which allows it to look fluffy and irregularly shaped as the clouds are. I started with white cream make-up, in some areas I took advantage of blending with the blue base, then I applied gray and in the area that would have less light I made up with a dark gray. I used a little bit of royal blue blending to give depth between the lighter areas of the clouds.

Para los ojos, con maquillaje en crema realicé un delineado en tono azul celeste en la línea de las pestañas inferiores, uniendo ambos ojos y llegando a las sienes, en el párpado superior hice un delineado sencillo en blanco, y luego con azul rey delineé debajo del tono azul celeste. Estás líneas las complementé con un delineado gráfico que cruza al párpado superior con azul rey y azul celeste. Y apliqué máscara de pestañas. Los labios los maquillé con un labial nude e hice un detalle azul celeste.

For the eyes, with cream makeup I did a light blue eyeliner on the lower lash line, joining both eyes and reaching the temples, on the upper eyelid I did a simple white eyeliner, and then with royal blue I lined under the light blue tone. These lines were complemented with a graphic eyeliner that crosses the upper eyelid with royal blue and sky blue. And I applied mascara. The lips were made up with a nude lipstick and I did a sky blue detail.
