(Edited)

Aisha who was asthmatic went to visit her cousin Fatima in a very busy city called "Agbara Industrial Estate".
She had plans of enjoying the city as she was a village girl, all she had known was farming and natural ways of doing things.

Agbara Industrial Estate is about 70acres of land situated in a residential area, there are about 20 big industries that produce things like diapers, sanitary pads, cubes, biro, glass, beverages, hand sanitizers, hand wash, toilet wash, exercise books, and so many things, these things themselves aren't bad but then, these hazardous chemicals released into the air affected Aisha more than she could imagine.

It started like harmless fumes released into the air now and then, these contaminants in the air could cause acid rain, ruining crops and acidifying fresh water.

Fatima's house was a few kilometers away from these industries, these fumes destroy the ozone layer and threaten the ecosystem around the globe gradually as the sun in these areas were extremely scorching, and the fumes released into the air can cause respiratory and heart problems in humans. Were Aisha and Fatima aware of the effect living in an industrial area could cause? Well, to Fatima, it was a "rich man's quarters," and she was so proud to live in a renowned and developed area.

Until this fateful day, she sent Aisha to the mall very close to the biggest industry in the hood, Aisha being a village girl was excited to visit the mall after different coaching from Fatima on how to pick a basket in the mall, how to shop picking your desired items down to how to pay for the purchased items, it was a stressful coaching for Fatima but an exciting one for Aisha.

After purchasing all she had in mind to buy, she left the mall excitedly because yes, she made Fatima proud by putting into practice all she has learned, she was supposed to head home, but just adjacent, there was this industry-making very loud noise she decided to see through the gate to see what was happening.
As she could barely see so she stood there, alas she saw thick dark fumes coming out of the industries with some awful smell, Aisha started to ask passersby what was going on in there, and she was told that it was the biggest bottling industry in town, "wow, I will come visiting here tomorrow when Fatima leaves for work", she said to herself.

Aisha kept visiting the industries for weeks, she would proceed to the next every 3days, in time had visited about 18 industries in the town.

Her plans to visit the last two industries went all wrong when she had her attack on her way to visiting them, she fell on the floor gasping for breath.
It was a factory worker who was on his way to his house who saw her and quickly rushed her to the hospital.

After reviving her, a call was put across to Fatima, who quickly rushed to the hospital, the doctor told her how most of the things she had been inhaling consistently triggered the attack.

That was when Fatima got to know that Aisha was sneaking behind her to visit the Industries in town.
The doctor warned that if possible, Fatima should relocate to somewhere else as living beside industrial areas could cause a lot of damage to her body system sooner or later.

Thanks for stopping by, I am Amie Geoffrey.

Pollution and other environmental degrading factors are very unhealthy and dangerous to life. With this story, you explain the dark side of industrialization and other genuine human activities. Thanks

Moving is wise advice. If you care about your health stay away from factories, and cities and help to reduce them.

I feel like this post is a bomb because it touches 3 moral lessons. First is that industries should be cited very far from residential areas. Secondly, ''any asthmatic Aisha'' should always desist from inhaling dusts or smoke because it could kill them, and more importantly, always take your inhaler where ever you go, be it just to get something down the road.

I have personally had an experienced with an asthmatic person. I literally was living in their shoes in the home. It got to an extent that our generator was sold off because he could percieve the fumes even from a mile away. The windows are always closed(no fresh are) on a daily basics. You can't fry anything so long he is around. Peeling of oranges and the back of corn are not for him and alot more restrictive things.
Like omo, these people dey try. They make sure all this things are in check just so they won't have a breathing failure haaa! The thought of that alone scares me.

I duely appreciate your post and I believe with it, it can sensitize people about ''the world of the asthmatic'' and blow it to the ears of the factories that they are causing more harm than good to the society especially through existing in residential areas.
