Is age just a number?
I've heard so many opinions about age from different people, some say it's just a number others say it's the level of maturity, while others say it's very important to them.
While chit-chatting with friends some days back, she made mention of her not ever imagining dating a guy she's younger than not to talk of marriage and then I showed her a picture on my phone I came across a a few weeks back.
I saw a couple though late now who proved that age is just a number, on the obituary, the wife was 74 years old while the husband was 65 years old that's about 9 years difference and I was awestruck cause it is very rare from the part I came from to see a man marry someone way older than he is.
After that, I did a little survey on the matter and asked both the guys and ladies I know about the point of view.
Some of the guys said, they could marry someone older than them but the age difference must not be that much, at least a year or two, while some guys say they prefer to marry someone er than them because the woman will act so mature and pamper them while others say never, they cannot marry anyone older than they are because the woman might disrespect them or take them granted.
Some of the ladies said, they could marry a guy they are older than, and they will still be submissive.
From the look of things, everyone has different tastes and different points of view.

Talking about love, for me age is just a number as they said love conquers all. Like if someone you're marrying to is younger /older than you, it doesn't matter as long as you love them.

Where love reigns so sure, age is nothing but a number. An older man marrying a younger lady does not completely command respect in marriage and it's vice versa.
Those of the opinion that they cannot marry someone younger than them should note thay it is all in the mind. There are 25year old men that appear more mature than some 40year old.
There's no place it is written that age is a criteria for marriage. You might even marry the person younger person and endure your marriage rather than enjoy it.
Responsibility, tolerance, good understanding, financial security etc are the requirements for marriage.

To me, age is just a number. Ordinarily, I am more concerned about the level of maturity of someone. In many cases, it might not be the product of age.
