Tener una hija es un regalo hermoso que he recibido en esta vida. Hace ya 5 años que mi pequeña Amelie Victoria nació un 23 de marzo, para la familia ha sido una bendición y una gran abundancia de alegría en nuestra vida. Antes éramos una familia conformada por mamá, papá y 3 hijos, cuando Amelie nació el mayor de ellos tenía 11 años y el menor 7 años.
Todo el tiempo es motivo de bromas que la pobre tenga 3 hermanos que le van a controlar la vida, pero en honor a la verdad, resulta ser que Amelie a los 5 años controla mucho a sus hermanos y sabe obtener de cada uno lo que necesita, de hecho, sabe también lo que puede conseguir con cada uno; a los tres les dice. “eres mi hermano favorito”.
Este cumpleaños número 5 de Amelie ha sido muy emocionante para toda la familia porque ella ha estado mas emocionada todavía, contando el tiempo que faltaba para su cumpleaños y desde que inició el año estaba planeando todo con relación a su fiesta; fue por ese motivo que incluso me motive a escribir una publicación para la comunidad Motherhood sobre "mi super guía para fiestas infantiles” así que ya se podrán imaginar.
Esta foto fué tomada el día de su cumpleaños el 23 de marzo cuando le cantamos cumpleaños esa tarde, la fiesta fué el sábado siguiente.
Amelie es una niña muy dulce que demuestra una sabiduría que no puedo comprender y me ha llevado a sentir que es mi gran maestra de la vida, es muy pícara y muy comprensiva.
Por primera vez Amelie escogió a sus invitados, el motivo de la fiesta ya no pudo ser manipulado por mi parte, y se decidió por un motivo de Frozen, se reunía con su abuela para que esta anotara todos los dulces que quería que ella le preparaba para su cumpleaños y a mi me señalaba con lujo de detalles como quería todo.
Entonces por supuesto que mi esposo y yo nos activamos con nuestro plan de acción para que esto fuera posible, para mi era muy importante el contenido que pudiera producir para mi blog de Hive pero estuve tan ocupada entre el trabajo que estuvo fuerte y los mismos preparativos que apenas pude escribir un post.
Necesitaba tiempo para dedicarle a la organización del cumpleaños y pretendí tomar unas vacaciones ya que tengo varios periodos acumulados, pero cuando analicé las responsabilidades que tenía para esos días tuve que descartar esa posibilidad.

Pero conté con una bendición muy grande porque mis amigos y compañeros en el trabajo me ayudaron con muchos proyectos para la decoración, me dieron ideas geniales y entre varios me hicieron unos adornos bellísimos.
Cuando faltaban menos de 2 semanas para la fiesta tuvimos una gran idea ¡¿Y si hacemos una Piscinada?! ¡Claroooo!, era factible y nos provocó porque ya estaba pasando mucho tiempo sin reunir a los amigos respetando el distanciamiento social en medio de la pandemia, pero para esos días ya las escuelas de mis hijos estaban convocando a las clases presenciales en horario normal y todos los días, entonces lo vimos posible.
Aquí surgió algo muy cómico: ¿una fiesta de Frozen en una piscina? Y ¿porqué no? Recordé Olaf el muñeco de nieve de la película que soñaba con disfrutar del verano y hasta una canción con ese tema le hicieron en la película, entonces así fue, buscamos un lugar con piscina para celebrar los 5 años.
Disfruté muchísimo organizar esta fiesta y con ayuda de tantas personas queridas para mí, incluso subí un video a 3Speak sobre los días que salimos a hacer compras en las tiendas de piñatería que espero que lo disfruten y les deje buenas referencias también si se encuentran en Caracas, encontramos cosas muy lindas.
Con estas cosas que compramos y los adornos que me hicieron mis compañeros la noche anterior a la fiesta me dediqué a hacer unos sencillos centros de mesa que en verdad quedaron muy bonitos.

Mi mamá y mi hermana me ayudaron en la elaboración de todos los dulces de la larga lista de Amelie y entre ellas organizaron una mesa de dulces preciosa, estaban super cansadas las dos porque pasaron entre dos y tres días cocinando todo, pero de verdad que valió la pena y quedaron muy satisfechas y contentas.
Entre los dulces que hicieron había gomitas azules, brownies, quesillo y arroz con leche en shots, trufas, mini pie de limón y también de parchita, cupcakes, todo bien rico.
Mi mamá hizo la torta y ella misma la adornó y Amelie estaba super contenta de como quedó como ella se la imaginaba. Yo también hice algunos dulces, como unos dulcitos de leche que en Venezuela llamamos papitas de leche y son muy sencillos de hacer, también unos dulcitos de coco que son más complicados, pero son deliciosos, ambos en la decoración quedaban como bolas de nieve. Así mismo conseguí cortadores de galletas en forma de copos de nieve y con estos las galletas me quedaron hermosas, pero no me atreví a decorar, todavía no he pasado a ese nivel.
Un gran héroe en esta fiesta fue mi esposo, mi compañero para todo que me apoyó en todas mis ideas y también tuvo ideas geniales y mi cuñado @antonyjimenezve que nos ayudó muchísimo en la logística del día y en preparar unos ricos perros calientes.
La tarde de piscina estuvo divina, asistieron 3 amiguitas de la edad de Amelie y las 4 estaban encantadas y con mis 3 hijos estaban 2 amigos de la infancia de ellos además de mis 2 sobrinas y 3 niñas mas de sus edades.
Todos estaban bien entretenidos y para aumentar la diversión les hicimos un juego como el de poner la cola al burro, pero era un dibujo de Olaf para colocarle la nariz de zanahoria.
La fiesta se extendió hasta caer la noche, en ese momento cantamos el cumpleaños feliz y entre manifestaciones de cariño y agradecimiento por el espacio de encuentro para volvernos a ver y compartir nos despedimos, super contenta de haber compartido con estas personas que siempre hemos querido mucho y a quienes siempre queremos volver a ver.
Las celebraciones de cumpleaños siempre son el mejor motivo para celebrar la vida y reencontrarnos, aunque no el único motivo, siempre podemos propiciar espacios de unión y esparcimiento. Solo que en los últimos años el cuidado de la salud de todos nos había alejado de esta posibilidad.
Ha sido para mi muy hermoso haberles contado sobre mi experiencia como mamá celebrando los 5 años de mi hija, contando con mi red de apoyo que siempre están a mi lado para hacer realidad mis proyectos y a quienes les doy las gracias siempre y por todo.

Having a daughter is a beautiful gift that I have received in this life. It has been 5 years since my little Amelie Victoria was born on March 23rd, for the family it has been a blessing and a great abundance of joy in our life. We used to be a family made up of mom, dad, and 3 children, when Amelie was born the oldest was 11 years old and the youngest was 7 years old.
All the time it is a cause for jokes that the poor thing has 3 brothers who are going to control her life, but in all honesty, it turns out that Amelie at 5 years old is very much in control of her brothers and knows how to get from each one what she needs, in fact, she also knows what she can get with each one; to all three of them she says. "you are my favorite brother".
This 5th birthday of Amelie has been very exciting for the whole family because she has been even more excited, counting the time until her birthday and since the beginning of the year she was planning everything related to her party; it was for that reason that I was even motivated to write a publication for the Motherhood community about my "super children's party guide" so you can imagine.
Amelie is a very sweet girl who demonstrates a wisdom that I can't comprehend and has led me to feel that she is my great teacher in life, she is very mischievous and very understanding.
For the first time, Amelie chose her guests, the reason for the party could no longer be manipulated by me, and she decided on a Frozen motif, she would meet with her grandmother so that her grandmother would write down all the sweets she wanted that she was preparing for her birthday and to me, she would point out in great detail how she wanted everything.
So, of course, my husband and I activated our action plan to make this possible, for me it was very important to the content I could produce for my Hive blog but I was so busy between the hard work and the same preparations that I could barely write a post.
I needed time to dedicate to the organization of the birthday and I intended to take a vacation since I have several periods accumulated, but when I analyzed the responsibilities I had for those days I had to discard that possibility.
But I had a great blessing because my friends and colleagues at work helped me with many projects for the decoration, they gave me great ideas and between several of them, they made me some beautiful decorations.
When there were less than 2 weeks left for the party we had a great idea: "What if we have a pool party? of course, it was feasible and it provoked us because we were already spending a lot of time without gathering friends respecting the social distancing in the middle of the pandemic, but for those days my children's schools were already calling for regular classes every day, so we saw it as possible.

Here something very comical came up: a Frozen party in a swimming pool? And why not? I remembered Olaf the snowman from the movie who dreamed of enjoying the summer and they even made a song with that theme for him in the movie, so we looked for a place with a pool to celebrate the 5th birthday.
I enjoyed organizing this party and with the help of so many people dear to me, I even uploaded a video to 3Speak about the days we went out shopping in the piñatería stores that I hope you enjoy it and leave you good references also if you are in Caracas, we found very nice things.
With these things that we bought and the decorations that my classmates made me the night before the party, I made some simple centerpieces that were beautiful.
The beautiful foami snowflakes were made by Marideylis Cárdenas, everything was coordinated by my friend Jenifer Salazar.
My mom and my sister helped me in the elaboration of all the sweets from Amelie's long list and between them they organized a beautiful candy table, they were both super tired because they spent between two and three days cooking everything, but it was worth it and they were very satisfied and happy. Among the sweets they made were blue gummies, brownies, quesillo and rice pudding in shots, truffles, mini lemon, passion fruit pie, cupcakes, everything was delicious.
My mom made the cake and decorated it herself and Amelie was very happy with how it turned out the way she imagined it. I also made some sweets, like some milk sweet which in Venezuela we call papitas de Leche and they are very easy to make, also some more complicated coconut sweets, but they are delicious, both in the decoration were like snowballs. I also got cookie cutters in the shape of snowflakes and with these the cookies were beautiful, but I didn't dare to decorate them, I haven't gone to that level yet.
A great hero at this party was my husband, my partner for everything who supported me in all my ideas and also had great ideas, and my brother-in-law @antonyjimenezve who helped us a lot in the logistics of the day and in preparing some delicious hot dogs.
The pool afternoon was divine, 3 little friends of Amelie's age attended and all 4 were delighted and with my 3 children were 2 childhood friends of theirs plus my 2 nieces and 3 more girls of their ages. They were all very entertained and to increase the fun we made them a game like putting the tail on the donkey, but it was a drawing of Olaf to put the carrot nose.
The party lasted until nightfall, at that moment we sang happy birthday and between expressions of affection and gratitude for the meeting space to see each other again and share we said goodbye, super happy to have shared with these people we have always loved very much and who we always want to see again.
Birthday celebrations are always the best reason to celebrate life and meet again, although not the only reason, we can always provide spaces for togetherness and recreation. Only in recent years, the health care of all of us had taken us away from this possibility.
It has been very beautiful for me to have told you about my experience as a mom celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday, counting on my support network who are always by my side to make my projects come true and to whom I thank them always and for everything.
