Can you tell us how today's weather will be like?
He looks into his crystal balls
Waited for some minutes, paused:
Looks up, faces us and then turns away
He guesses into the skies
Then back into his crystal balls

I then paused and ponders:
Is he confused this time around?
Does he not know that it is important for us to know
How today's outlook will be!!!
Does he think that we came all the way from my houses
Just to admire his crystal balls
And the milky mudded floor of his...

I stood up and almost yelled at him
He gets the message clearly
Then slowly he begins to talk
I think I have an answer to why you came
I know you will be glad you came here after all
Do not worry: the coast is clear, no rain today
You can go ahead and celebrate

The omen is good. My balls don't lie!
Then I have been standing to receive the message.
I sat down and counted some crisps of notes
Clean notes indeed and handed over to him
He smiled and waved at me to drop it on the floor
I obliged, thanked him and we left

Few hours into the occasion the clouds changed
Became thick and the rest was history
It didn't rain but it pours
A forecast gone wrong indeed.
