Odin's Great Obsession Hidden Under His Great Lodge!?| God Of War Ragnarok: Give Me God Of War
Hello, gamers of Hive. I hope you all have been well in these trying times for the world.
Today, I have some GOW content featuring Loki infiltrating Odin's Great Lodge(Lair) that houses Aesir Gods and Gods from other realms.
Without further ado, let's begin!
Odin and Atreus make a few stops before reaching the inner part of the Great Lodge. He even gave Atreus a few books from him own collection.
Odin showed him his own room at the Lodge where he can drop by, what piques his interests, and be off whenever he feels like. Sif made an entrance here and saw her Father-in-law welcoming the killer of her boys be given their room.
Afterwards, the dead brothers' sister came over and gave Atreus a welcome... in her own way. She told that he would be filling small shoes.
They explored the lodged together where she explained how things are done and who does what. Later, she told that everyone, including her, are said to be kept out her grandfather's study. So, Loki being allowed inside was something very peculiar.
Atreus entered Odin's study, leaving her outside, and the first perk of his "job" got him Ingrid, a magical sword with a personality. Odin called it an old thing and was happy to see it with Loki. Odin said that this was what drove him, not wars or wealth. He also did not want to fight Kratos or anyone for that matter... that was the first thing he asked for in their house. They went downstairs from his study where a green glowing rift was there. This was truth!
Atreus went close to it... he felt the presence was the All truth, knowledge about why they were here, unlike the mortals. He asked if he should peek inside, Odin stopped him in his tracks and showed the underside of his eye patch. He turned to show a half mask... engravings written on the mask was from a language... that Loki understood.
The first thing he said was that this thing was not from the 9 realms... and the first clue was, "From smouldered Earth and obsidian spark and a field of battle never fought". Odin instantly knew where to go. This is where he said sommething devastating, he said that Loki would not need to fight anyone, betray anyone, or kill anyone... he only wanted to solve the mystery of the rift as he knew it piqued Loki's interest as well.
He called for Thor, and with nimble steps, Thor was behind them. He handed the half mask and ordered them to go to Muspelheim.
Fighting their way to the next clue, Thor reminds Loki as to why he wasn't dead yet... it was because of that broken piece of wood. Loki suggested that they need to trust each other a little more since they are in constant danger.
In between the fights, Loki asked Thor if he liked Surtr's challenges. He said that he and Kratos used to do it before and it was fun. Thor thought about it... and said maybe to that idea. That was when Loki could find the other piece by himself.
Thanks to that distraction, he had the chance to meet Angrboda... hiding beside one of the shrines. This one was Surtr's. He showed her the wooden piece of wood that Odin gave it to him... but he solemnly told her that he was not working for him. Angrboda agreed to his claims and said that it was all in the prophecy; she needn't judge.
She opened the doorway of the shrine and found a marble... it was empty, and it was Surtr's. Now, they know that he was out there... somewhere.
No other marbles to gather... and suddenly the past, present, and future began to play. Sinmara, a new giant of the frost, and Surtr, a giant of the fire, fought against each other... then they fought side by side... until they grew close to one another and their love changed them into a super giant that brought about Ragnarok... Asgard fell... the prophecy Groa saw. After that, Angrboda left promptly as Thor's presence was imminent.
Loki grabbed the other piece of wood, and they were taken back to Odin's lair instantly thanks to the crows.
He showed Odin the new part of the mask; they can now read the entire sentence. Odin theorised that they could probably use the mask once they had all parts of it and look into the rift. See the real truth. But Loki still did not know what any of it meant just yet. He tried to convince Odin that he could be trusted since they were to hunt for the clues of the mask and gave a sweet speech.
He exited the study and updated Thrud; she learned that the sword Odin had had a name, Ingrid. He was excited to know more about the mask.
Back at the realm between realms. Kratos was worried about Atreus... and rightfully so. He suggested that they meet the Norns of the land... seek their help. Tyr, from the back, suggested they trust the boy; he was very capable, so... Kratos snapped at him and told him he was partly responsible for instilling foolish ideas. Freya, on the other hand, suggested raising an army to go and attack Asgard. As a final suggestion, Kratos asked Mimir, the smartest man alive, whether they should seek the norns. He said yes.
Therefore, Kratos, Mimir, and Freya came to Midgard, back at Kratos's house where his wolves patiently waited. Kratos gave them the smell of the Norns' bell. And so, their quest for the Norns began.
And that's it for the journey today at Asgard and Midgard. P.S. This is why Odin built the Great Lodge above this thing with his own hands; he never wanted any dwarf or Giant near this place because their curiosity could turn sour, since Odin wouldn't have wanted to share this "pool" of knowledge with them. Odin safeguarded this secret until he met someone with the power of knowledge or language to decipher the last remnants of the mask and complete it, and then peer through the slit of the fabric of reality.
