Today, I present to you guys a battle that is noteworthy and should be up there in the competitive rank. This battle was both unpredictable and could've gone both ways.

Without further ado, let's begin.

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is 39 and there are 3 summoners to choose from: Water, Life, and Death. The mana cap is good for a well-structured Water or Life monster line-up. But, I decided to go with the one I put a lot of effort into obtaining the right monster for a certain playstyle.

Battle Rules

  • Broken Arrows: Ranged attack monsters may not be used in battle.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Decrease in HP and magic damage of enemy monsters by 1).

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns).

Melee attackers: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach), Mad Ogre Anarchist(Ability: Opportunity), Silent Sha-vi(Ability: Sneak).
Magic Attackers: Revealer(Ability: Stun), Kain Hace(Ability: Blast, Reflection Shield).

My primary goal was to make all my monsters go on the offensive. The line-up was made in such a way that the enemy tank would face the mother load of attacks from my monsters while only 2 monsters would do damage from within their numbers.

The overall damage output per round is 14. Adding in the damage from the thorns and blast damage it is a total of 18.

Summoner: Avina Of The Wolf(Ability: Give heal ability to one unit or speed up two units).

Tank: Bera Dallin(Ability: Armoured Strike, Taunt, Heal).

Magic Attackers: Thanalorian Archer(Ability: Snipe, Lookout), Meriput Magician(Ability: Tank Heal), Adelade Bringwing(Ability: Flying, Repair).
Melee Attacker: Mad Ogre Anarchist(Ability: Opportunity).
Blocked Attacker: *Soul Fiend(No Ability).

His strategy was for his tank to absorb all the attacks while everyone would do magic damage while healing the tank. He also put a monster at the back end to protect his Brightwing even though it has Flying ability.

The overall damage per round is 8 per round. Adding in the damage from the tank's shield, his overall attack varies from 10 to 14.

Major Events

Round 1

Screenshot (160).png

His tank was at the end of his HP in the first half of the round since my attackers had the highest speed.

Sadly, my prized monster was the first to fall thanks to his Ogre.

Round 2

Screenshot (163).png

His tank fell just after the first quarter of the second round.

Screenshot (164).png

Since then, most of his monsters fell right after his tank fell and that's when the odds were turning in my favour.

Round 3

Screenshot (165).png

At the end of the 3rd round, his magic caster Adelade fell and it turned into a 4 v 2.

Round 4

Screenshot (166).png

His Ogre fell in the last half of the 4th round.

And finally, his Meriput falls and I got the deserving victory.

Results

The only loophole was that my most prized monster Kain Hace was a bit too open to enemy attacks. His strategy was a sound one, healing the tank while it would attract everyone's attacks. The only problem he had was that I aimed for his tank while doing damage to the unit behind it. That was what makes this battle truly noteworthy. The scale of anticipation was high on my side and the tables turned toward me.
